- Madan Gopal MBengaluru, India8,460 contributionsIncredible splendor.A signature design of Baku, unique architecture and unusual design. This trio of blue glass skyscrapers reflect the experimentation and dynamic planning to create a visual wonder for one and all. These towers are so tall and huge that one can appreciate their grandeur and beauty from a distance. During the night, these towers provide a grand light show of fire effects and waving national flag. A must see place, particularly from a distance in the night.Visited September 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 13 October 2023
- HelenjenBrisbane, Australia896 contributionsIconic symbols of Baku, best seen from all angles! Before arriving in Baku we were aware of these iconic symbols of Baku, but you don't realise until you're here that they seem to be everywhere, as if they follow you around! Worth taking the Finicular up to Highland Park to see them up close and personal and even the surrounding building reflected on the towers....unique! Make sure you get a photo of them with the old city in the foreground....great comparison of old and new Baku. Get a photo @ night with the impressive light show.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 February 2024
- Juby JEmirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates334 contributionsA photo spot in Baku ..you cannot missThis is a definite photo spot and must to complete your baku album. At night it even changes colour's with the national flag colour's of Azerbaijan. Its right in the city center very easy to reach and part of most city tours. Make sure you get the right picturesVisited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 21 May 2024
- Sebastian TWarsaw, Poland30 contributionsFlames Tower very hotVery nicely animated towers at night. They look amazing from the other end of the promenade, as well as from up close, where the modern mosque overlaps, their panorama overlaps, here I would say that the most beautiful photos of this building were taken. Unfortunately, I didn't go inside, but apparently you can go in and see how they look from the inside. I took a lot of photos, I think of the 100 towers alone, because they fit so nicely with the local landscapeVisited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 September 2024

These towers are beautifully designed and illuminated. The lights on the towers give the impression as if two big burning flames are standing tall. The different colored light displays the Azerbaijan flag and a person waving the national flag.

The skyline of Baku would not be the same without the Flame Towers, 3 very modern skyscrapers that tower over the city and can be reached with a free funicular or via a steep staircase. I recommend going up to Highland Park in the evening to observe the spectacle of the Flame Towers illuminated with various plays of light. Incredible and unforgettable!

Flame Towers is a trio of skyscrapers, the height of the tallest tower being 182 m (597 ft).The three flame-shaped towers symbolize the element of fire ,a reference to Azerbaijan's motto, "The Land of Fire".The facades of the three Flame Towers function as a large display screen at night with the use of more than 10,000 high-power LED luminaires, supplied by the Osram subsidiary Traxon Technologies and Vetas Electric Lighting.Flame Towers is situated on a elevation on Highland Park and hence can be seen from most parts of the city.

We were excited to stay at such an iconic hotel and had looked forward to it. When we arrived, check-in was fine and we found our room ok. The room was well-appointed, but perhaps showing its age a little. For example, we could not find any plug or USB points near to the bedside tables, and the water pressure in the shower was not very good. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice of Western and Azeri dishes, and the chefs were very cheerful. The parking was really useful and was free.
The reason that I have given this stay 3/5 is that things often didn't feel completely thought-through. For example, we had requested an extra bed for our child. We arrived late evening and requested the bed before we had dinner; however, the bed was still not there when we returned from eating, by which time it was very late. When the bed did arrive, there was no pillow with it. Another example would be the reception staff suggesting that we eat at the hotel restaurant in the evening, and then arriving at the restaurant to be told that it didn't admit children for dinner.
The pool was very nice, and the pool bar staff members were actually really friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff was also lovely. The spa was also very nice, and I had a top-quality massage.
One tip for staying here would be to get a BakuCard for the metro and the buses. It can sometimes be hard to find a taxi in town (and it's long way up hill back to the hotel!) but the #18 bus departs every few minutes from lots of places in town and stops right outside the hotel. You can get a BakuCard from the machines in the metro stations.
Overall, the stay was fine, but I was expecting more from such an iconic hotel.

A sight to see during the day but don’t go during peak hour....traffic is so hectic. Visit at night and go through the park to get to a stairway which gives you a bird eye view. It’s very cold in winter here so I suggest you go at like sunset. Do not go at night for tour to this area as it’s close proximity to the sea and it’s extremely cold.

It was an absolutely luxurious stay at the Fairmont. I stayed here with my family for 3 nights and absolutely loved the hospitality, quick service. The hotel is located centrally and it was very easy to explore the city from here.
The sea view from our room was breathtaking. It’s a panoramic view of the entire city. Gunay from the front office was always available for fantastic advice on where to go and how best to explore the city.
Azerbaijan is amazing and staying at the Fairmont Flame tower made it even more memorable

They are the symbol of the city and it is nice to be able to admire them in the background in the panorama from afar, especially in the evening when they are colored (most of the time with the colors of the flag, more rarely they were colorless with the flame)
I recommend taking the cable car from the old quarter to go and see them up close, better at sunset. Next door you will also find a mosque and a war mausoleum

Currently there are 3 flame towers with one of them a hotel. They remind of the 3 fire mountains which flamed up. In the night the flag and fire is represented on the flame towers as the light show comes to life.

hello friends
to night we want to go Flame towers. how is it .can we go up building? is there restaurant near?
thx
Written 24 September 2019
As far as we could tell. The Flame Towers were closed office buildings with no public restaurants. The cable car takes you to a plaza with a great view--but no restaurant in sight.
