You will be surprised, but it is just a small piece of it burning. You don't need more than 20 minutes for visit. You need taxi or car to get there. Parking place is free of charge.

We visited this place after visiting other places of interest as here we had no time for closing. Only when you see you understand the phenomenon of eternal burning fire....from gases emitted from the ground. The fire burning is continuous and is real.. This site...More

This is a well known touristic destination, but surrounding is such a shame. Conditions are so terrible. Government should really think about it, as there are so many visitors per day, and a place does not create a right image of the country

Yanar Dag is a relatively less impressive, hillock near Baku, where fire is burning for a long time. (I am not sure how long). Probably some natural gas is leaking through. The place is convenient to visit, half-an-hour travel from Baku city centre, but I...More

Travels for miles and at the end it is a damp squib. There are entry fees of 10 M, for which you do not get a ticket. So basically, you fund the people working there. No doubt, it is intriguing that the fire has been...More

A short drive out of Baku lies the Yanar Dag where there is a natural fire at the foot of the hill. Also, if one climbs up the hill one gets a panoramic view of the surrounding area with the Caspian Sea in the background.
