Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Soviet Yerevan tour is excellent! Not only the more then interesting tourguide, but also Zara of the reception with is doing an great job in providing the right service. I highly recommend checking it out if you enjoy history or just want to see a different side to this city. Couldn’t speak more highly of this fun little insight in to what Soviet life must have been like.

I went into the Essential Armenia tour with Edgar as a tour guide. It was one of the mlst knowledgeable tour guides I ever met, with a lot of insights and a lot of explanation, a great vibe and lots of smiles.
The group was small and we become friends in a couple of minutes, so it felt more like an excursion with friends rather than with strangers.
The tour itself was very interesting, great value for the money, hence I can only recommend it.

Thank you Edgar for making this tour unforgettable!

Thank you for such a heartfelt review. At envoy, making connections is always something we cherish - this is the reason we try to keep our group sizes small. So glad you felt among friends and enjoyed the vibe of our tour. Wishing you wonderful travel experiences every where you go and hope our paths cross again one day. Cheers from our Crew, especially Edgar.

We had several options to choose from traveling from Tbilisi to Yerevan, but choose Envoy because it wasn’t just a transfer. The trip included several stops for visiting some monasteries and a lunch break.
Our guide kept us informed about what we were seeing, and our overall timeplan.
The lunch break (at a private home) had fantastic food - almost worth the journey by itself!

I took a couple of tours with Envoy and both were excellent: Soviet Yerevan and Essential Armenia. Groups were small and there were more opportunities to ask questions and obtain additional info as the service was in English only (other tour operators might combine people who speak armenian and/or russian into the same group).
Tour guides were well informed, smart, kind and professional. Kudos to Gevorg for the great work during the Essential Armenia tour. Unfortunately, I don't remember the other guide but he (comrade) gave a funny touch to the Soviet Yerevan tour. Drivers were very good too.
One of the highlights of my visit to Armenia was the lunch included in the Essential Armenia trip. It was like a feast at a local family place in Noratus; it was amazing!

I enjoyed the Soviet Yerevan tour with Edgar. With humor, the tour introduced the Soviet experience in Yerevan, the good and bad, and gave insight into how the Soviet experience helped shape the current Yerevan experience. It visits off the radar sites that were extremely significant during Soviet times including squares, markets, transportation, neighborhoods, factories, etc. and shows how these all affected society, both then and now. An excellent tour!

I went on these 2 tours and they were amazing. Everything has been very well organized. The tour guide Marina and her assistant Saten have been very welcoming and Marina's explanations about the wonderful places we were visiting never failed to make us understand a lot more about armenian beautiful culture and history. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants to tour Armenia!

I took the Enlinking Caucasus (Tbilisi-Yerevan) and Enlightened Armenia tours with Envoy in May 2023 and had a great time! Our guide Christina was friendly and knowledgeable about all the monasteries and other sights, she gave me a really positive impression on Armenia. The minivan we travelled in was comfortable and I particularly enjoyed eating lunch with a local family - they served SO much food (all really tasty), I felt bad for leaving a lot behind.

Had a really nice trip from Jerewan to Tiflis yesterday. Stopped at at some monasteries und had lunch at a guest family. Highly recommed the border crossing from Armenia to Georgia by car and the background information of Armenia and their development from our guide Anna.

Luv’d the “Soviet Yerevan” tour! You get to see things that you’d never see yourself in a million years. And it’s not your typical “boring” city tour either. I thought Edgar was very knowledgeable, charming, and also funny with his Soviet jokes. I liked taking a ride on the subway, eating local snacks, and doing quirky things like visiting an abandoned Soviet synthetic rubber factory. I’d even take the tour again!
