You can bargain anytime. If you would like to have street food, you should go there and experience the culture.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 February 2024
- Winnie WongSingapore, Singapore129 contributionsThe night market is crowded, with more foreign customers than Vietnamese customers. The night market is located right opposite the square and Tram Huong tower so it is very easy to see. After getting some fresh air, you can then go to the night market. For Saigon people like me who come here to travel, this market is normal. The products have nothing special about the coastal area to buy. Mainly clothes and shoes. There is a small dining area. Besides, the night market is just a very short distance, just one walk and it's over. It's also spacious and clean.Visited April 2024Travelled on businessWritten 19 April 2024

Small market with stalls selling almost exactly the same thing, TShirts, magnets, straw or hessian hand bags at seriously and I mean seriously over inflated prices. I was quoted 250k VND for a hessian bag - I was already carrying one around, which was a better quality with me I had bought in London for just 10% of the price quoted, I paid a £1 for it in Tesco. I am happy to support any local economy, especially independent traders but the traders in these markets need to be a bit more realistic.

Nothing to buy here. Do not waste your time. These stores mark up the price especially if you tourist. They willing to do whatever it take to sell product for you. If you walk by at first they nice and try to sell as high as possible( more than triple original price). If you walk by only ask price and walk away without buy anything. They will yell, scream, rude. They threaten and circle, isolate until you buy it or else.

Nice place, although little; nearby are numerous nice restaurants serving delicious meals at reasonable costs.
It's worth a look, but not enough to make a trip out of it.
Those who have difficulty bargaining, such as me, will move quickly.

A very small night market selling souvenirs, toys and clothings. Every stalls sells almost the same things. Entire market is less than 100 metres and we took less than 10 mins to finish walking. Bought some sand toys and bargain for half the price. Not worth visiting at all.

Don't expect the night market like in Bangkok so big and many things to eat. Shops are basically selling the same stuff like fake brands, local packet food, bags and souvenirs etc. Need to bargain aolt.

It's fun to stroll through the road checking out all sort of things. There are food stalls, dessert stores and street food (but not many), food quality is so-so.
Be prepared to do some bargaining for up to 30% off or maybe more. Also watch out for cheating shop owners - i bought 4 pieces of clothing from a shop and the lady put in only 2 pieces in the bag. I didn't check and only realized when i got back to the hotel. It is on shop selling maxi dress and beach shorts (i forgot the name, but somewhere halfway through the road). The seller of that shop was a middle age lady with a son around 18-20 year-old.
