Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Vong Canh Hill,
- Vong Canh Hill is located on Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street, Thuy Bieu Ward, City Center. Hue about 7 km.
- The road around Vong Canh hill is filled with pine forests, as in Dalat.
- Going to Vong Canh to watch the sunrise or sunset is the best, because it has a great position.

Pleasant viewpoint towards the river, not far from Tu Duc tomb. At the junction from the main road, it is very near. The 'entrance' is just a boom gate and a signboard in Vietnamese. Opposite is a wooden shack selling drinks. From the gate, it's just a short walk to reach the view point. Nice stop if you're nearby.

You get a really good view of the perfume river from here. A short walk through the trees and you have great views and a fantastic picnic area, if that is what you like.

Vong Canh Hill was a strategic military advantage used by the French and Americans during their wars with Vietnam. One French bunker and two American bunkers sit atop the hill. There is a great view of Perfume river for miles in both directions.

We liked this spot. It was cooler and had great views of the Perfume river. There are bunkers there left by the French also some graves...not sure who’s they were.

It can be a little difficult to find but scenic view of the Perfume River is worth it. Locals were enjoying picnics here while other where having professional photos taken in the nearby forested area. We were happy sitting put and enjoying the view of long boats going about their daily routine down on the river. There's also Vietnam War concrete bunkers where forces kept on eye on the river.

Arguably the best location to get photos of the sunset and the Perfume River in Hue. It was the place where Vietnamese royalty came to relax. Also known as Belvedere Hilltop, there are some old French Bunkers there that kind of offset the natural beauty of this place. Great place to relax and enjoy an afternoon in the company of friends and family.

While visiting Hue for so many times, we were offered to go to Vong Canh Hill where I’ve heard when I was young so it’s a Yes to spend the morning to go up there
It was so crowded and hard to find a parking lot. We walked uphill and the scenery in front of us was so beautiful and romantic with pine trees and Perfume River

Vong Canh Hill, on the outskirts of the Imperial city of Hue, is an outstanding spot to view the majestic Perfume River. It affords a sweeping vista of river, jungle and mountain. Nearby are remnants of French fortifications, and across the river is a Buddhist monastery. The city of Hue is lovely, but you owe it to yourself to visit the ancient buildings on the outskirts, and Vong Canh Hill

We had a private driver for half a day. The driver left at the base of the hill, we bought some drinks and snacks at the "kiosk" (which did not really offer snacks and drinks for our taste) and then we "climbed" up for 3 minutes. With us were three groups of young people also enjoying the shades of the trees and the great views of the river "bend".
