The bar is good. Band was not perfect, but okay. The service was very good. Only problem was the house maids will be inside the toilet and ask for tips everytime you go there to pee.

The band, Rock Storm, were great fun and played our requests of Iron Maiden, Scorpions and Skid Row. The venue is a spectacle. The drink prices throw you when you first arrive but we calculated that the cost was equal to beer in Australia. One of our group did not wish to drink and the bar staff advised that they would ask non-drinking patrons to pay a fee towards the band which I think is fair. (As long as the band are actually seeing some of the money!) I still think they would do well to lower the drink price a little or even charge entry fee and have standard pricing. Given every other bar in this part of town was playing horrendous house music we stayed on for 3 hours. Ended up being a great night!!

Funny USA style saloon in the center of Saigon (not too far from Bui Vien Street). You don't exactly go there only for the food, which is good but in the average of this kind of places, you go there mainly for drinks and music! There's a good choice of international cocktails and beers. Stunning girls take care of your drinks and serve you as soon as your girl, you can even chat a little...but they stick on water!
Live music on stages is fantastic, really above average/professional! I had fun, planning to return!

We found this place by chance just walking around the city looking for something fun to do. Actually right around the corner from our hotel in district 1, like a 5-10 mins walk from the big market. But this bar has an awesome rock band that plays there every night taking requests for songs you want to hear. They are really good and super fun. The band members go from the stage to the bar to play solos throughout the night. We had one of the singers come to our table and sing with us. When they have breaks the DJ comes on and plays some fun techno music for maybe like ten mins, which in that time the band comes around and meets the guests and get to know everybody. The waitresses are nice and as soon as I finish my drink they were right there taking it away asking if I wanted another. And last but not least..... FREE POPCORN!! LOL

Cannot believe that both lonely planet and trip advisor have recommended this place! It's a complete rip off with rude staff and seven security guards on the door. Totally not worth the visit! 110,000 for a tiger beer and we were told it was buy one get one free. We ordered 2 tiger beers and they said you have paid for two so you get two free and would not let us leave!! They added a 10% service charge and wanted an extra tip!
Do not go to this place, it has a really bad atmosphere!
There are plenty of bars in Ho Chi Minh City and this place isn't worth your time or money!

Myself and a few friends went to the Saloon last night to hear the band play and were ripped off as soon as we walked through the door. The drinks were incredibly expensive, at 130,000 VND for a vodka and coke that had no vodka in it at all. A few of the girls with us had cocktails and all asked for more alcohol in their drinks as there was none in it from the off. A small bottle of water also cost 110,000 VND which is well over €4! We tried to leave after one drink and got as far as the street outside when the manager came charging out after us demanding we pay for another cocktail that no one ordered or drank. Their waitress had been mistaken. When we said there had been a mistake, he told us we had to pay and called 10 of his security guards over to intimidate us. We did not back down and said we would call for the police to come and resolve the situation and we were told "no police, we sort out here". Eventually we got them to agree to let us leave, only because they did not have enough muscle to take us on. Please do not visit this bar. Have eleven beers somewhere else for the price of one here!!!

Ridiculously expensive, worse than any European city I've been to. Around €6 for a draft beer. Prices on the menu exclude a 10% vat that no other bar charges.
You're pretty much forced to tip because you cannot order a drink from the bar, it has to be through a server. I also had a manager hang around me pretending to make small talk until I tipped the server, he left straight after I tipped her.
A 350ml bottle of water cost €4.60, cocktails contain little to no alcohol.
The bar tried to charge our group for 4 cocktails when only 3 where ordered, when we refused to pay for the 4th, ten guys showed up outside the bar to stop us from leaving. We told the manager to call the police, he said that this would be sorted with out them, implying the threat that him and his "security" would deal with us if we didn't pay.
They eventually let us go because we had bigger guys than they did.
Avoid this bar, it's the only bad experience I've had in a bar in Ho Chi Minh city.

The music is just great but the jack daniels was not really one. Then i ordered a bourbon (no brand just one from the menue) what is much more cheaper. After one of that they brouhgt me whatever and charged Jack daniels... Hell of a bill...
