Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As others have said, the church is under repair which is a shame, but worth a visit, set in central location. Post office is nearby.

The main attraction (the church) is currently under wraps, however, the square is quite lovely (with Mary as the centre piece) and the area is definitely worth a visit.

The cathedral is under heavy renovation and closed for public. But the small front garden where St Mary is standing still open for public. Praying is still possible but outside the cathedral. I love to come back to visit again, I believe the cathedral is magnificent after the renovation.

A lot of reviews suggest that the square is quite quiet. We were there Christmas morning and it was packed! People celebrating, having coffee and enjoying the vibe. So much going on. Music and more. Some coffee shops around the square so soak it up and enjoy. Crossing the roads around the square is a challenge so mind how you go! You can connect to free wifi as well which is useful if you loose anyone in your party!

The area is big. Unfortunately the church is under renovations. So all we could see was the main statue outside and the whole church is hoarded up. Not sure when the renovations would done.

This is unique time to be on square almost alone. Traffic is running but no tourists comparing to old times with crowds, street sellers, tourists as real busy place. You can enjoy architectural pieces like Post office or Notre Dame church ⛪️ in piece

Right in front of two of Ho Chi MInh City's 19th century landmarks - the "Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral" and the "Central Post Office", you will find "Paris Square", most commonly known as "Notre-Dame Square". It is a very lively attraction, with locals and tourists gathering around gardens, monuments, street-food vendors and many souvenir sellers. At its center, the granite statue of Virgin Mary, depicted as "Our Lady of Peace", brought from Italy in 1959. Take your time, stroll along "Notre-Dame Square" and try to visit some of the nearby monuments - important remnants of the French colonial years in Vietnam! Enjoy!
