About
On your guided tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels, you’ll learn about the history of this underground system. The tunnels were dug during the Vietnam War by Viet Cong soldiers as a way to move undetected and launch surprise attacks. Experience the tight squeeze firsthand by crawling through the tunnels, and fire assault rifles at the shooting range after. Pack bug spray and dress for hot and humid weather, arriving earlier in the day to beat the crowds and the afternoon sun. It's not recommended to visit the tunnels after a downpour, as the area will get very muddy.

    Intersting slice of history
Very interesting - I had read and heard a lot about the tunnels, but it was a genuinely fascinating experience to walk through a small part of the tunnel complex and see the hidden entrances and gain some insight into the history (admittedly from a strictly one-sided perspective, but that was to be expected.) Can get very busy and some large groups are very pushy and unwilling to wait to see what you are being shown, which got a bit frustrating, but that's tourists for you! If you're into that kind of thing, you can pay to fire off a few rounds on the firing range. I'm tall and a bit arthritic, so I didn't attempt actually getting into the display tunnel, but our (little) friends did and enjoyed the experience. Definitely worth a visit.

    The best experience
We had the most wonderful tour at the Tu chi tunnels. Our guide Phufoole was well rounded, had so many things to tell and kept our group togheter. It was clear to me that the Vietnamese history is of great meaning too him.. And very important to tell to the world. So We send our best recommendations!

    interesting Cu chi Tunnels
The first Visited the Cu Chi tunnels on a company tour of Vietnam. Very interesting, and well documented the underground life of the Vietcong during the war. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. It's unbelievable the steps the local people had to take to protect their country and they are such a pleasant and friendly nation.

    Incredible experience!
We had a great day out with Tuan in the Cu Chi tunnels. He had been to the war himself so that made a great difference when explaining to us the logistics and anecdotes. He is very charismatic, funny and warm. The experience wouldn't have been half as fun if it had been with someone else. It was very eye opener and heartbreaking to see what they have been through. I recommend this experience as a MUST if you go to Ho Chi Minh

    A must-see
We toured the tunnels as part of a half day HCM/Saigon tour. We found the tunnels and artefacts fascinating… especially the bit where the man disappears into the tunnel and covers up the lid with leaves. I felt some bits could be updated: the information film at the start seemed outdated and propaganda-like, and maybe real actors instead of models would add to the effectiveness of the experience. Some updating is probably needed, but still a must-see if you go to this country.

    Well worth visiting
We visited the tunnels 12 years ago and were interested how it had developed. The answer we found was much more of the same. There had always been several areas of interest in the so called ‘Jungle’ but now there were many more which meant that more tour groups could see everything without getting in each others way. Still very much well worth visiting.

    A good informative tour
Went here on a private morning tour. Very informative and a good insight. A nice drive out and a goid tour if you beat the rush around 10 am. The wife enjoyed shooting the AK47 also. It's definitely worth the trip.

    Not be missed in Vietnam
A network of tunnels stretching over 200km, it was used as a communication system and even a hospital during the Vietnam War. The tunnels are a great way to learn about the country's past and experience the atmosphere of a former battleground. The tunnels are incredibly well preserved and offer an unforgettable experience. Visitors can explore the tunnels, learn about the communication system and hospital, and even try their hand at firing a gun. It's a captivating experience that should not be missed.

    Truly remarkable!
I was so impressed by the intricate escape routes and booby traps that were used to great effect during the Vietnam War. It's amazing to think that such a complex network of tunnels was created by hand. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and provided a great insight into the history of the tunnels. I would highly recommend a visit to this amazing site - it's an experience you won't forget in a hurry!

    "Truly amazing"
Just amazed at how the Viet Cong developed the tunnels to evade the Americans. Excellent tour with our guide Pha who was very knowledgeable and explained the system of tunnels well. We got to experience going inside the tunnels. The intricate escape routes were very impressive and well thought out. A must visit when in Ho Chi Minh.

Then air was really nice, a different way to see the countryside. The Barry and the guid was good, refreshments and fruit on the way. The tunnels are quite unique- so small as the local people were small. It is quite claustrophobic to get inside, for those who have this problem.

Most amazing tour to a bygone era with Mr Tuan, a war veteran(he was a 19 years boy when he joined the army and fought for 10 years!). 100% recommended - very well organised too....

This is a long trip from Saigon. There is a lot of anti American propaganda to endure to visit a collection of holes, booby traps and a short crawl through a tunnel. Displays and audiovisuals are primitive. When trying to get a drink or walk around gift shop, you have to endure loud and persistent automatic gunfire from the adjacent gun range. Then you have to take your bus 2 hours back to Saigon and the day is shot. I encourage to ask some Vietnamese who speak English how they feel about communist party rule.

We visited this landmark on a cruise ship tour (Princess cruises), and although filled with history and given a chance to climb into a similar tunnel and traverse underground for a short bit, it was really touristy and campy to say the least. Imagine a Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney (without any animatronics) and calling it a history of naval piracy tour…that’s what it kind of felt like. I do know this tour (be it on a cruise ship or from any tour company) is going to remain immensely popular for the area, but I’m thinking I would of rather spent a day in Ho Chi Minh City exploring than going on this tour.

super cool thing to learn about and experience. sadly, it is a bit Disneyfied but I suppose they had to do that to make it more interesting for visitors. the film at the end is horrible, you can't understand the lady and it doesn't give you any information. the shooting range is extremely loud and right next to the gift shop and snack area - horrible. could have been so much better with good signage and a film that explains the situation. the traffic out of the city was a nightmare and we got home over an hour later than promised. even with all the negatives it was still worth visiting due to its uniqueness and relevancy.

With a mix of historical information and interactive displays, the Cu Chi Tunnels provide a fascinating insight into the challenges faced during the war. A must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and adventurous travelers alike.
