Visited here as part of an organised tour which was excellent and will share details on TripAdvisor later. This place is truly amazing and a great insight into the lives of those fighting the US: their ingenuity and the way they dealt with everything from...More

Really interesting to get an insight into what the Vietnamese people did! Very ingenious - although brutal - but I guess that is survival! What also impressed me was that the guides seemed to move their groups from sight to sight so that it never...More

We took a half day tour from Ho Chi Minh City to these Cu Chi Tunnels, which was really worth it. We had a professional guide (Jackie from the Vietnam Adventure Tours), who knew so much about this place and the whole war history of...More

Although this has been made into a tourist attraction there is no escaping the reality and reconstruction of what these tunnels were used for 50 years ago. As someone of 6'2" (1.86m) these tunnels are hot, cramped and certainly a test for the thigh muscles...More

I was amazed by the depth, breath, and complexity of the tunnel system. It truly is an engineering feat that this complex was built by hand with very limited technology other than shovel & hand. Well worth a visit.....

Stay in HCMC, and arrange a guided tour from there, leaving in the morning. Should cost you $20-25 per person. Tons of tour info in TA.

Why pay for a tour ? talk to your hotel about hiring a 7 seater taxi on a daily rate, which we did and it cost AUD$55.00 for the whole day, tours are a pain in the A$$, much more convenient quicker and cheaper to do it... More
