I cried a lot here
This is the most memorable and unforgettable experience I have in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. You will feel the hardship during the Vietnam war. The ambience of the place is so dramatic and so powerful that you will feel the energy and the bad experience of the people living during Vietnam war. I am so proud of the Vietnamese people for doing this and showing to the word that they are capable of surviving. I can’t wait to be back again I miss you all my Vietnamese friends.

Very Valuable Experience
Tremendously interesting and a very well organized viewing program. I found the tunnels terrifying and I was in awe of how they were used. The Vietnamese perceive this war very differently from Americans, as we understand it (we are Canadian). They call it the American War and the War Remnants Museum really does highlight the atrocities committed during the war. It is not to be missed.

How the war was won
Feb. 2021
My wife and I used Asiana Link Travels and opted for the morning tour in Feb 2020. We paid 1.1million dong (around £38) for the two of us. Our guide Tri (pronounced tree) was very helpful and spoke very good English. On the way we stopped at a factory where disabled people made lacquered gifts. The process was explained and the various items were most impressive.
We continued on to the tunnels and Tri explained how the Viet Cong survived in the network of tunnels and the ingenious ways they avoided the US and allied troops. There was an option to pay extra to fire live rounds at the firing range from different weapons. Next to the firing range was a good sized cafe. We were surprised that the cafe had been placed right next to the firing range as it was LOUD.
We were then given the chance to go down one of the tunnels at no extra charge. We had the option of doing 20, 40, 100 or 160 metres. After 20 metres my wife and I had had enough. I am not the slimmest person and I found it too hot down there. However, one of our group did the full 160! He took so long the guide was about to go and find him (in case he’d taken the wrong turn and was heading for Cambodia), but he came out saying he’d been taking selfies! After the visit there was the option to go to a restaurant for lunch (included in the price) or return to your hotel. I would recommend Asiana Link Travels as the guide was friendly and informative not only about the tunnels, but also life in modern day Saigon.

Going through the Tunnel as a Vietnam Veteran
May 2020
We had an Excellent guide and it proved an interesting experience for a Vietnam Veteran. I knew of the Tunnels from IR's but did not encounter a tunnel during the war.

Intriguing

Great experience, history lesson. My kids even enjoyed it, very busy. If claustrophobic, make sure you don’t get stuck in the back of a lot of old or overweight people when you go in the tunnels, as you’ll be stuck in there a while , not moving . It’s very tight squeeze ( I’m 5, 6 , 50kg)

Book a tour with Nguyen Cong Tuan!
Jan. 2020 • Couples
Nguyen Cong Tuan was the best tour guide ever!!! A war veteran who had amazing stories to tell. An experience that brought tears to everyone’s eyes. He’s a 72 year old full of energy and humor! I don’t think we would have loved the tour as much as we did had he not been our guide. I hope he can give more tours post-pandemic. *We went May 2019*
