Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited here with my husband and had read mixed reviews about the place, but decided to reserve judgment until I saw it for myself.
Afraid to say the negatives were spot on.
Poorly planned and set up complex with escalators set up at opposite ends to either continue going up or down and nothing particularly special to entice tourists or otherwise really.
Shops were mainstream with some higher end stores on offer, but overpriced and no one really interested in wanting to serve you.
No seating out in mall so when I went in to a store, my husband had no choice but to tag along. Didn't really matter as none of the stores really kept me wanting to stay for long.
Food area a bit lacklustre as well and toilets need an upgrade.
All in all, see it if you really want to and make up your own mind as I did, or if in doubt, just give it a big wide berth.

Vincom Centre is your usual shopping mall. We've seen better malls but it's ok...all the named brands etc. The best part of this mall is the basement which we missed on the first visit. The basement is filled with good restaurants. We had the BEST Tom Yum shrimp soup ever in a Thai restaurant - can't remember the name but its in a corner. Overall the Thai food was great. There are other very good international restaurants as well in the basement of Vincom Centre.

It's nice shopping mall which is the same in other cities. If you visit Ho Chi Minh for the first time, and difficult to find restaurants, then it can be easy to eat. There is Uniqlo and some other famous brand (but not super expensive)and you can add some clothes that you need there.

The Vincom Centre has a great range of key brand shops plus a very good food court catering to many different cuisines. But in the centre of this section is Highland Coffee. This must be one of their busiest outlets and finding a seat can take some time. Very popular with young adults. But it’s the quality of Highland Coffee that I like especially the coffee with condensed milk. Great after a tortuous search for some decent runners.

I don't understand why some reviewers are being negative about Vincom. Perhaps they want Dong Khoi to be the never-changing face of old colonialism?. Whatever. I rather like the horribly bright exterior, the park in front where all the shop assistants from Parkson eat their snacks, the brash confidence of the New Viet Nam expressed in designer boutiques and impossibly expensive jewelery stores.
Go there to watch the Vietnamese middle classes at play, the young kids drifting around trying to look cool. Or go there to shop, the prices are no more expensive than elsewhere. Or go there for coffee, there are some interesting cafes. Or simply go there because in the basement is the best supermarket in Sai Gon. Wide range of goods and, unlike Tax, you don't have to queue for a millennium to pay.
Some may not approve, but Vincom is part of the New Viet Nam. And I, for one, rank a visit there as important as a visit to Reunification Palace - that's if you want to truly understand this country.

Not only the new out-of-scale tower has been built on the location of architectural vintage colonial villas, but its building is responsible for the destruction of one of the few Saigon's public spaces, a small park in which hundred year' s old trees were out-rooted, to build in its place a tacky Dysneyland-style space in guise of entrance to yet another shopping mall with all its international brands. Not only was the public space destroyed, but across Dong Khoi street (arguably the most well known street in Saigon), a whole block charged with history with famous addresses like Givral Cafe, Passage Eden, pastry shop La Pagode, etc. was knocked down to build yet another horrendous tacky building all devoted to instant gratification consumerism and the resolve of the authorities to deprive the people of Saigon of its own cultural heritage and landmarks. So yes, for all interested in the way Saigon is slowly but surely destroyed by a clique of crass arrogant leaders should pay a visit to the Vincom Center.

Avoid this shop at all costs!!! I visited the Lock & Lock store in vincom center Vietnam Ho Chi Minh. I was with my boyfriend and he accidentally knocked over 3 water bottles from the display shelf. The shop assistant and the manager of the store then held us in the store for 30 minutes demanding for us to pay for the bottles even though it was an accident and the “damage” was not noticeable, upon inspection other colleagues were unable to see the supposed damage, leading to them changing their mind and then trying to charge us for 2. We believe they were trying to scam us because we were tourists and do not believe they would have done the same to local customers. The store manager sent photos to the Vincom shopping center manager who didn’t believe we were liable for charges. We left the store with no apology from the staff. I have never had such a hostile and humiliating experience in my life. There were no signs in the store to say that customers are expected to pay for accidental damages, and if so, why were such fragile items placed so close the the edge of the shelf?

Vietnam's increasing upper middle class and tourism from South Korea means that high rise buildings and slick shopping malls are on the rise. This mall feels like every other mall in Vietnam (or South East Asia really), with a combination of high end and mid-priced outlets. For the locals, this would be expensive.
What makes this place is the bottom level food court, a lot of great options and a great supermarket. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but when you feel like air conditioned comfort, and get away from the manic streets of Ho Chi Minh, this place is great.

A classic soul destroying experience, floor after floor of women's clothes, it's just a collection of all the same Western designer mall shops, you could be anywhere in the world, Bangkok, Dallas, Melbourne, Madrid it all looks the same with the same shops, the same layouts and the same vacant eyed stares from shoppers.
Skip it if you want to retain a sense of dignity.

Tại sao cổng chính khu vực đường đồng khởi lại cho phép xe ôm tự do mặc áo Grab tự do dừng đậu vậy ? Có sự tiếp tay ở đây hay không ?

You can buy in Vincom Center where there is a child's store. Also across the street there is a store called Parkson's that would also have. You can also find in Saigon Center . I assume you are buying for use in a cab or Uber since non citizens cannot rent a car in Ho Chi Minh City - nor would you want to as the traffic is not only very congested but you will be targeted for an accident.

Hi,just wanting to know if major credit cards are accepted at shopping malls like vincom centre and diamond plaza.we are arriving at end of march, are there sales on at this time...??
Written 18 March 2016
Most of the large departmental stores accept credit card. About sales I am not sure as I have visited HCM and was told by the local contact that most branded stuff are not cheap, they are only better priced when there is a sale.

Hi There,
I am making my way to Vietnam and would like to visit this mall.
I cant find a store directory anywhere. Can someone tell me what stores this mall has?
Written 9 November 2015
I would highly recommend only getting change from ATM's. You will get current exchange rate but note many will restrict how much you can get to around $100.
