Did the trip with Les Rives, who organised everything well. The guide was informative and helpful. Yes, as some of the negative commenters say in earlier reviews, the river is pretty filthy and lots of water hyacinths broken off by passing boats float downstream. Boats...More

If you have time to spare for half a day while in Saigon, make a trip out to Can Gio. It takes two hours depending if you are able to catch the ferry on the first try. The ferry crosses the Nga Be River. The...More

Overall events were fun & educational for the children. However, monkeys are nasty & fierce. Don’t bring any food to monkey areas, ie monkey island & crocodile farm. The guide called the monkeys over but they aren’t cute & cuddly.

1.5 hrs out of Ho Chi Minh city by car and ferry. The Vietcong base is in the middle of the mangrove swamp and reached by speedboat which is quite good fun. Also you have to run the gauntlet of the monkeys which is quite...More

Don't go! After a long and horrendous journey getting there (people were nice though) we expected an eco sanctuary but instead we were faced with inhumanity and frankly, animal cruelty. The circus is heart wrenching. The monkeys were either chained or crammed into small cages....More

Great to take a canoeing by the river, passing by the bat jungle, have lunch at the restaurants there! But if you are checking out the monkey island, be careful as the monkeys there are much smarter than you think! and their team work (gang)...More

We went on a guided tour to the Mangrove forest and the crocodile farm. I can't say that I was impressed at all (I had more fun in the Mekong!). You need to be careful of the monkeys (they stole a pair of glasses off...More
