Get ready to be blown away -- truly! imagining some hard to follow, arcane and unengaging piece of somewhat amateurish theatre -- WRONG! The acting, music, movements and costumes make this truly a glorious spectacle. They had us from the first moment with the dancing...More

This was a truly vibrant performance that made me appreciate being in Vietnam all the more. The acting was fantastically done; some scenes were hilarious, others were intense (Ho Nguyet Co Turning into a Fox), but it all made for a nice break from chaotic...More

This is an expensive and short performance (45 minutes). There were only 12 people in the audience. The performers were all good though it was a little strange. The 3rd act involves the love-making and birth of a dragon through music and dance. It was...More

This show is 45 minutes long, and it did keep my attention through most of it. There is information for visitors to Vietnam about the acts in the performance and the current scenes going on onstage, and that's a great asset. However, at the finish,...More

My wife went yesterday for the hour long performance which she totally enjoyed.- 150,000 dong. Lovely traditional Vietamese instruments, well choreographed comic play, dance and two men singing. Beautiful, colorful costumes. After the performance the audience was invited on stage to have their pictures taken...More

This was really special, a classical theater production featuring music, traditional instruments, incredible costumes. You can watch the actors making up in the lobby. Do not miss this, shows are on Mon and Thursday nights.

A wonderful collection of few smaller performances across various segments (a comic play, a well choreographed solo performance, a music performance, a traditional tale in the form of dance drama). The fee is a little steep as compared to the water puppet show which finds...More

So nice show. It is a pity the theater is so unnoticed by the crowds of tourists staying near by in Hoan Kiem district... People often say it is nothing to do in Hanoi. Not true. Tuong theater is one of many ignored wonderful attractions....More

I do agree with those who say the show is underrated - with all the tourist crowds that one sees in the streets of Hanoi only a handful of spectators can be found in the auditorium. The show is not only an expected "presentation" of...More

A one hour treat of singing, traditional musical instruments, acting and beautiful costumes. Actors performed traditional stories, some humorous. Afterwards guests were invited on stage for photos w performers and to examine the instruments more closely.
