Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wonderful show. Do not assume to have a total understanding but it was so intriguing and incredibly beautiful. The music and dancing kind of magical. I so enjoyed the whole show and thank my friend for taking me to something of her culture. I would say a must see when in Hanoi.

A show that offers you great experiences of the spiritual life of Vietnamese people and its rich culture. Very well organized with amazing set up and extremely talented team. Location is great - next to Hoan Kiem lake and situated on the main street of the City - Trang Tien.

A spectacular show for Vietnamese and foreigners to have a closer view at traditional culture of Vietnam. Good folk music with band, colorful costumes, beautiful movements. I will definitely recommend it to my friends at university.

Walking on Trang Tien str we came across Worker Theatre which had some life size horse statues in front of the entrance capturing our attention.
Tickets started at ca 6$ so we gave it a try.
Passing thru an art gallerie tou get to a cozy red colored ca 400 seat theatre which was one third filled.
But then what was about to start blew us away: three episodes of vietnamese mother goddess reincarnation.
Very colorful hand movement focussed dress woth ornamentation ceremonies to a female dancer by two males.
Live traditional vietnamese music and chanting giving you the impression of a temple festival!
Definetely worth the money and a great memorable experience for authentic vietnamese traditional show

I was really impressed by the "Four Palaces" performance (Tứ Phủ) introduced by the Viet Theatre (Nhà hát Việt). The artists and artisans has succeeded in transmitting the quintessential beauty of Viet nam indigenous religion to international friends.

We really enjoyed this show. We received tea and snacks on arrival and were then escorted to our (really comfy) seats.
During the show, one main performer takes on the persona of 3 different characters from indigenous vietnamese religion, and each has their own costumes, dances and songs. The costumes are hand stitched to an incredible standard and the songs are played live on stage by musicians playing traditional instruments. The story of each character is displayed on screen behind the performer, but it’s not dry, there’s a good sense of humour to it - I loved the tipsy 10th prince :)
It is a 45 min show and really affordable, we liked it as it is less touristy than other attractions in Hanoi. Great if you want to experience tradition in a fun way.
The only other comment is that perhaps the explanation of the show could have been a bit better in advance - we found the flyer a bit unclear but were happy to turn up and see what happened. It was worth it!

How do we buy a ticket? Do we have to go in person/call? Doesn’t seem to be an option to book online.
