Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Hai Ba Trung Temple is a little Buddhist temple approx. 2 kilometer south of the Hoan Kiem Lake.
It's nothing spectacular or remarkable, but worth a short stopover if you're close by.
Unfortunately, the location shown on the tripadvisor-map is wrong. The temple is located directly at the western side of Hai Ba Trung lake (ho Hai Ba Trung), the lake itself is no more than a dirty, little pond.

Worth a visit if you happen to be nearby.
It was reasonably uncrowded and I enjoyed our brief visit.

Beautiful but annoyingly closed and hard to find information on opening times on any sites or gates or even local folk I spoke to.

Probably not worth the trek out to the French quarter. When we arrived there were a bunch of song bird enthusiasts just admiring their prized possessions. It's not such a touristy area as the surrounding streets are full of industrial tradesman repairing mopeds and fixing tit bits. Wouldn't recommend it.

It's a buddhist temple, a bit outside of the core centre of the city, nicely designed but not one of the most impressive ones around.

Situated south of Hoan Kiem lake this temple is only small but is quite ornate with some beautiful stone carving at the front of the temple.
Closed on a Sunday I think it is for the locals. If you are in the area have a look don't make a special trip for it.
