The schedule for this show is quite frequent, but ticket were sold out pretty fast. I have to wait for 2 hours, because the closest show was sold out. The show was portraying the vietnamese life. It includes 14 parts, which dont related to each...More

This was one of my favorite activities during our stay in Hanoi. Seating is tight, and the collection of so many nationalities can create some tension as you try to watch the show through phones trying to take pictures. But after the first 10 minutes...More

This show seems to be on everybody's itinerary who visits Hanoi. Its old fashioned. The puppets are traditional and at the end of long poles half hidden in the water so there is not a lot of movement of the limbs but lots of splashing,...More

I’ve been to this show twice now and I can confirm it is still very loud. If you have sensitive ears, bring earplugs or your fingers. The lovely ladies singing is especially piercing. Otherwise an excellent, must-see show in Hanoi. Get your tickets early as...More

Very interesting show. Nice traditional art with good performance. Many stories about the daily life of the farmers. Especially the folk music was the highlight of the show.

A truly cultural experience of sights, sounds and old world atmosphere. We arrived on time and were comfortably seated. Don't be late as the one hour performance has many acts and they do not admit late arrivals. The traditional musicians and singers provided the musical...More

We chose this Water Puppet theater because of its close proximity to the centre of the old quarter, and the fact that it had regular viewing sessions. It's well priced for tourists and very popular, so buy your tickets in the morning if you intend...More

Hi, yes that's true, though it didn't seem to stop most of the audience. I think if you elect to pay the small fee (50,000vnd for still, more for video) you get preferential seating on front row.
