Lovely Lake!

Nice peaceful Lake. Great for a stroll and to watch life slowly pass by. Locals enjoy this area as well. Some nice pictures taken here in hanoi by the lake.

There are plenty of great restaurants, shops, bars and other attractions around the lake. The lake is beautiful too. I especially enjoyed it in the evening.

West Lake makes a great walk - the views are great, trees provide much needed shade from the sun, you get a chance to see some local life and try street food - if you spot Bo Bia bike, get yourself a roll! Pagoda is stunning and is one of the most beautiful and oldest in the city - worth... More

A place you must come when you are in Hanoi. You can enjoy the peace with a cup of coffee at a coffee shop near the lake

I stayed at the intercontinental Hanoi west lake and had a beautiful panoramic view of the west lake every day. Never had enough of it! Beautiful lake situated north of the Ho Chi Minh presidential palace, an easy 10 minutes walk can get you to the edge of it.

Beautiful area of Hanoi, do buy a tortoise and set it free in the lake. Buy beautiful fruit from the street vendors, take care in crossing the streets in this area.

I lived just off of West Lake and loved it. Best place to get away from the smoggy city with plenty of restaurants bars with live music, good places for drinking and clubbing & amazing food which you can have overlooking the lake

Nice view around and good relaxed but the lake little bit dirty and bad smell. It is ok if just look only the view.

I had a look at this lake on a few occasions but personally I much prefer Hoan Kiem Lake as it is easier to get around and there is more to see.

Situated in the ex-pat area of Hanoi this beautiful lake in Hanoi is of freshwater. We circumnavigated the lake by bike (thanks to a local restaurant owner who loaned them to us) late one afternoon an early evening. It must have been about 15km if not more but enjoyable. We were able to gain a good perspective of the surrounding... More
