Obviously the museum is shaded to the Vietnam prospective. Which is Ok since it is their museum. It was interesting to view the times that Vietnam was at war. With the French, the Americans, and each other. Worth a visit.

Great collection of artifacts mostly from Vietnams wars against colonialism. Always appreciate seeing history from a new perspective. Worth a visit for the small entrance fee.

Entry fee was very modest 40K which included the flag tower. There are planes and tanks on display and the flag tower to go up. Ice cream is available when you need respite from the heat and walking around, we had coconut flavour for 10K...More

Some interesting vehicles, including a US plane that was shot down. It’s a good opportunity to see the flag tower up close and climb up it’s lower levels

we meant to go to the citadel and ended up here by accident. Lots of exhibits, planes, tanks, bombs, etc, some of them dramatically displayed.

This museum does not do justice to Vietnam's proud military history. Overly reliant on photos despite the wealth of military artifacts that should be available, especially from 20th century conflicts. Makes mention of triumphs over imperial China, the Mongols, French, and US, but does not...More

This museum introduces the visitor to Great Vietnam. You feel more of respect to this great country, to its proud people and to their great leader at that time, The Great Respected Ho Chi Minh

We did it on our own and we're pretty relaxed when we aren't with a tour group. (We were on a tour but stayed 4 extra days in Hanoi to do things on our own). 3 hours should be enough for all 3 things. I find when you are on... More
