Nice friendly pub

One of only places we could find to sell Cider on tap, lad who served us was very friendly and cheerful and we found it a nice pub to hang about in

Never had a bad night here which is why it is now what we refer to it as our local. Great staff and great service in a down to earth bar that provides plenty of the vibrant Old Quarter atmosphere.

No better place for an ice-cold cider. Thank you for letting me cool off in your fan-induced breezy front porch!

Previous reviews mentioned upstairs for watching world go by. Upstairs now a massage parlour, nothing to do with bar. Bar quiet on a busy night elsewhere. Didn't even have any vodka available. Will not be returning as Hanoi has endless choice of better bars.

Great place to sit, chat, drink and watch the world go by. No bia hoi here, but prices are reasonable and they show the Premier League. Just kick back and enjoy watching Vietnamese traffic at close quarters!

So ok its not any more Irish than that guys Canadian wife in the last couple reviews. Give them a break. It's Asia. Do you really think you are going to find anything truly "western"??? Aside from that stupid comment some guy made. It's a nice place to relax and have an evening drink. No issues with this place. It's... More

My 2 friends and I went here as one of them loves cider and we weren't disappointed! They had Stowford Press on tap and it was wonderfully cold - just the thing in the Hanoi heat. The music was pretty chilled with plenty of 80s music I knew, the staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was pleasant and... More

Stopped in whilst doing a bit of bar hoppin while the wife was asleep in the hotel, this place is no more Irish!!! Just locals serving and drinking here. Music was random and not Irish, decor is mostly unplastered brick. However they serve Guinness if you feel like one in 38 degrees fair play to ya, they do have a... More

Looked pretty good from Tripadvisor reviews, but we were a little disappointed to be honest. It's pretty small - the staff are friendly enough, but it would be too busy with 30 people in I think. Reasonably priced beer though. Still curious to see what it's like in an evening, but won't be finding out

Favourite bar in the old quarter. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, interesting street view. Even the occasional live music! Always an enjoyable time
