This temple is off the beaten path so we were the only tourists in sight. The roads aimmediately around it are full of small vendor shops providing food or offerings for the locals to buy. Little to no English was spoken in the shops.

We came here as part of a days tour with Hanoi Vespa Tours. The temple initially looks like a traditional Chinese Buddhist temple but it is actually dedicated to the Mother Goddess Lieu Hanh. It is one of the main temples in Hanoi and very...More

Only saw locals here. Streets are lined with food vendors and fortune tellers, no tourist tchotchke being hawked. Packed with locals. Very worthwhile visit. On Hoy Tay (West) Lake. Bit out of the way, but a breeze to get to on motorbike. Here's the GPS...More

This interesting temple located on the shores of West lake, is dedicated to the Mother Goddesses. West lake has several temples located by the lake but this one seems to be very popular. What is also interesting is the short walk from the road towards...More

My son and I visited Phu Tay Ho Temple today and enjoyed the experience. Being a Saturday, we made our way there prior to lunch and the surrounding area and temple itself extremely quiet. We walked from our accommodation (Sheraton Hanoi) and enjoyed exploring the...More

We visited this temple today in the middle of West Lake. It's a very long walk from other attractions and we have doubts if we should go. I think it's so worth the effort to visit here! The temple is repainted and very beautiful. Lots...More
