Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went for the hour tour and chose to go around the Old Quarter. The driver stopped at a temple and the market for us and we were happy to be guided by him as we just wanted to get an overall view now and explore further afterwards. The driver had limited English, but it was better than my Vietnamese, and he pointed out some interesting sights. It is a good way to get a flavour of the Old Quarter and I wasn't brave enough to use a bike rickshaw just then!

There appears to be 3 set routes around the city and we managed 2 of them. Non English speaking guide on the first ( but he tried hard to communicate) and just an automated voice over for the second. All in all it was a very pleasant way to see places outside of walking range and on a hot and humid day it was a welcome relief.

I really didn't think this was the best tour I have ever been on and being a kid, well yeah.....um there's something called fun. But I really did enjoy discovering places that are the highlight of Hanoi and where people should go and shop and explore like temples and the traditional Vietnamese house.
I do recommend this tour of you want to just find out where to shop or learn how the Vietnamese live. Not for fun.

Rude, borderline hostile ticket seller demanded 250k vnd. Apparently the 35k price is per person only if you have a group of 7, or so the seller told me. 250k for a half hour ride around Hoan Kiem when you can do it in a private Grab car for 50k?

Signed up for an hour tour (VND300,000) which was supposed to allow stops along the route but the driver did not stop at our request. Instead, it stopped at places where we chose not to. The most unacceptable part was the recklessness of the driver - upon arrival at the station, passenger was just one leg off the car, the driver was so reckless and moved the vehicle. He doesn't even bother to apologize. It was dangerous and totally unacceptable!
Overall, the tour is just not worth it!

1. First of all, when we bought the tickets for 1 hour tour (300,000VND) , we were told that we could stop Anywhere we want for the sightseeing but the driver forced us to stop by Dong Xuan Market and Coffee shops, we only requested to stop by 2 places in 1 hour which were Bah Ma temple and Hanoi Ancient House but the driver said nt allowed, i don't care what reason but at least we shud be told before we bought the tickets. What do you mean by u can stop Anywhere?? I felt cheated.
2. Do not take this tour especially if you bring elderly around. Our driver was so mean that he didn't pay attention when dropping us off at the station. My mum was still in the electric car and the driver straight drove away and my mother nearly fell down.
3. We told the stuff at the counter but no action taken. They said, oh Maybe its dangerous. Come on what maybe? Its sk dangerous. We asked where to lodge the report and complain, but then no answer.
No information during the trip. No explanation about the places. Strongly not recommend to take this tour.

Great way to see the city quickly. Take the one hour green tour. See a whole lot of the city, through the crowded back streets and all the different districts. Guide did not speak much English, but not really necessary as you got the feel of the city as you drove around. Stopped at Buddhist temple, during prayers, which was amazing. Can be hop on/hop off while driver waits. Worth doing for an intro trip around Hanoi.

We took this tour with our children last week and were extremely disappointed. We opted for the tour without stops, which the lady at the counter led us to believe still drove by the key sites displayed on their poster. But the tour ended up being a random drive around the Old Town (something we could easily do on our own with a cyclo!), passing only a fraction of the key sites and without the recorded explanations that are suppose to be played during the tour. At one point, the driver even stopped in front of a store to take care of some private business, leaving us waiting in the car.
When we arrived back at the starting point, having hardly seen anything special, we complained. The driver just shrugged and said "tour over". We then complained at the counter and the driver actually then lied about not having played the recording or done the right itinerary. The lady at the counter then chose to believe him and ignore us, not trying in any way to address our complaint.
Ours might be an unfortunate occasion, but the fact remains that this business couldn't care less about their customers and clearly has dishonest employees, so it does not deserve your patronage. I therefore hope visitors to Hanoi will avoid them rather than fall in the same unfortunate trap as we did... Take a cyclo in stead!!

I paid for 1 hour and the tour was only 40 minutes, had to ask for a refund, operator was not keen but eventually gave me back 50k vnd. They have two tours one for 35 at 200k vnd the other for one hour at 300k vnd. My driver took me straight to a market and wanted me to go in, I wasn't interested was wanting to look around old quarter, this may have accounted for the short trip.
