Lovely walk (steep) to the top with stunning views.
There is a small cold drinks / coffee stands and a compact souvenir stand on the island, which you would not want any bigger. We paddled in the water (warm) and sat on the sand. Interesting statue of Russian astronaut, Gherman Titov (whom the island is named after). He visited in 1962 but the statue was inaugurated on the island in Sept 14

Ti Top Island is about a 15min hike up to the lookout point. It has steps the full way up. it is a very steep hike but worth it. There is also a beach to enjoy if you have time. The water was very cold when we were there in December.

We woke up and were given to choices. Go to the beach, avoiding mosquito, and swim in the bay, and try not to get stung by jelly fish. Or, clime up the Island up to the top for a view. We chose the latter. It is a lot of steps, and there is only the one set of steps.

Part of any Halong bay tour. Good exercise walking up to the lookout for great views. Small beach amongst a lot of people, Shelly bottom in the water

Wow what a view from the top of the hill on this island. Beware it has many steps I lost count half way up and they only get steeper so not for the faint hearted or those with difficulties unfortunatly there is only one staircase up and down.

The island has a man made beach of those not wanting to brave the hill and a small kiosk for ice cream and drinks to refuel after the hike up.

The best way to see the bay and this island is through an organised trip as there is over 1900 islands in the bay.....

It's worth the trek to the top for the view. It offers a panoramic view of Halong bay which is fantastic. Yes it can be a bit busy but then anything that is popular is! Some of the steps are a bit steep, so I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who isn't confident on their feet.

Bit of a hike to the top of Ti Top Island, but worth it for the views, which were lovely. Bit of a tourist trap though so prepare yourself for overcrowding.

Just a tourist trap. You do can "swim" here a little. The view from the top most be great on sunny days, but that wasn't my day...

It is just about going up 400 steps to enjoy the view, but since it is usually just a short stop, everyone wants to take a picture from the top before leaving and that affects the exotic atmosphere of the place... the beach is quite clean and nice.

We were part of a small tour group, a beautiful island in its natural state, however, it was so overcrowded when we arrived we could hardly walk up & down stairs to lookout point, beautiful views if you could get close enough. They need to control amount of visitors at any one time much better. Strong sewage smel in water too!
