The cave was amazingly well preserved. The people in my tour was very well behaved and did abide by the rules. We grouped together with others and trekked the whole cave. The view at the TOP was worth the climb. The steps wasn’t particularly steep.

These caves are in a cluster of some of the islands that are situated in the bay. There are approximately 1,970 of these stark, steep islands in this picturesque bay. The cave system is vast and extremely open with some very wide passage ways and very tall ceilings at over 80 feet in some areas. These caves are located only a short boat ride from the city. A visit to the caves is often included with a great boat tour of the bay. It’s a hugh tourist attraction.

We visited the cave during our tour in Halong Bay... Great experience... The cave has 3 levels. Inside you can see stalagmites and stalactites and also there is a place inside where the sun rays pass through and make rainbow colors... It is called "gate of heaven" unfortunately that day was cloudy and we didn't have the chance to see it... Through the path your guide will show you lots off interesting things such as rocks which look like couples, people and even Santa Claus that's funny because we were there a few days before Christmas. On the third level you can take photos with the best view.

There are a few steps to the entrance, but it is so worth it to walk through the caves. Most beautiful that I have seen, it takes 20 minutes from start to finish. So many beautiful things to see, it is large inside with lights showing the rock formation and the walls. It is so clean and you would think that you are in another world with all the wonder around.

This was the first time that I saw the caves... on my previous visit it was raining so much that we did not venture out. They are lovely and well kept - a lot like the Kango caves in South Africa.

This calls for a great deal of steps up and down. Though it's well worth it, so the perspective from the pinnacle is amazing. The cave is significant, which will take aproximatelly twenty minutes to stroll through it.

Hello. My BF and I are visiting Halong Bay at the end of September, can anyone recommend a mid range 2 night 3 day trip? We would like to see as much of the place as possible and ideally not be on an tourist trap boat, so probably slightly smaller (Air con would be fab) What will the weather be like? Thanks!
