Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The walkways / steps, lighting, signs and water fountains all make visiting this limestone cave, a very groomed experience.
Visited here as part of Halong bay cruise on Dec-21,2023.

Good cave in Halong Bay for visiting but it is very crowded in Thien Cung Cave.
If you visit it in local holiday season in summer from June to Sep it is too crowded:

You can only get here on a boat. There are lots of steps to climb but the caves are a natural wonder. There are so many interesting angles as the pathway winds around the cave. You can pay for professional photos. There are souvenirs and food available for purchase at the bottom and on the way down.

Amazing Landmark to visit while in Halong Bay. Lots of History & famous stories that made this Cave what it is today since millions of years. Go with a guide who can help you explore during the Tour. Book a tour with The Vietnam Journey Dotcom!!

It's a pretty good visit, and an interesting backstory too, pertaining to its discovery. The coloured lights have been replaced by a more subtle and appropriate warm white, which is better. The views across to Ha Long city are also very nice to see. Good stuff.

We had a choice on board our boat in the morning, you could go to the beach or go to the caves. Most of the people on our boat opted for the caves. If you are not good on your feet, then this is not for you. We were very lucky, as most of the tourist would not travel due to the corona virus. That made it good for us, as there were only 20 of us.Interesting to know that many many years ago people lived in these caves, and you will see evidence of this and more.

We went on a 4-hour cruise around Ha Long Bay, including lunch, organised as part of a Viking river cruise. Towards the end of the cruise, we visited the equally amazing Golden Cave complex - massive caves with all the stalectites, stalegmites and wonderful rock formations you could wish for. Definitely not disabled friendly but good, firm steps throughout. It could be the highlight of the holiday but, as it's only day 2, only time will tell.

Mother Nature is simply amazing, it’s so fascinating witnessing the cave and how it looks like inside. The cave is actually quite big so you can take your time slowly admire the structures and the beauty of nature.
