Still want to come back Halong after many times I visited the bay. There are many activities from relaxing, visiting the cave, doing kayak or swimming (if the weather is good).

Too much human pollution. Into the bay. Nature can do only so much to clean the bay. It is time for polluting humans to do the clean up themselves.

The bay is full of floating trash. Very polluted river. We are glad we had masks on, otherwise the smell would have nauseated us.

This is a must to do excursion if you travel to Vietnam. The cruise was extremely soothing and calming- A cruise through gigantic limestone karsts which was like a dreamy escape, so soothing to both mind and body as the weather and ambience were on point. Two stops were made to do rafting and exploring the limestone karsts. This is one excursion you will never regret! (Traveled in 2018)

I have already discussed much of my visit to Halong Bay in a separate review for Bien Ngoc Cruises, but will write this in addition, in order to capture the attention of anyone thinking of visiting Halong Bay without spending the night afloat on one of the many boats/junks that offer such trips.

The views from the land, though attractive, do not compare with the views available from a junk boat. However, even the short trips, out and back on the same day, lose out on so much of the experience gained from an overnight cruise. The cruises include meals and several excursions/activities, such as kayaking, cave visits, and the opportunity to climb to the peak of Titop Island for breathtaking views and photo opportunities.

I have visited many places around the world, but few compare with Halong Bay. So, not only would I highly recommend a visit to Halong Bay, I would say it would be madness not to take an overnight cruise.

The halong bay basically comes along with a stay at small sized cruises which are luxurious and keeps you engage for whole 2-3 days of your stay.

The bay is beautiful and silent to have a peaceful relaxing time. The water is clean and fun to do water activities.
