In its heyday, Dalat Station boasted three arrivals and departures daily. The French built the railway station itself, while the zigzagging tracks were planned and implemented by the Swedish, experts in tricky terrain.

Historical place

A place of history with the great atmosphere. I feel like being in some scenes in the romantic movie.

I enjoyed this short train trip and visit to the splendid mosaic-ed pagoda. Interesting way to see the countryside with its many greenhouses full of flowers.

Out of architectures in Dalat, this place might be an outstanding place due to its French colony influenced style. Not too much entertainment but a little historical nostalgia, but the ancient train is nice. Many couples come here for wedding photographs, which is worth watching. It takes locals VND85,000 for a trip to Trai Mat station

A piece of history. I wasn't disappointed. It still has a working train and the other is a café. I didn't try the café but it looked very quaint.

The train station itself is not exciting. We purchased the train ride which goes to a pagoda, the train ride was 125,000 per person for a return trip - for a 15 minute ride each way and stopping for 50 minutes at the end for tourists to see the pagoda. The train ride was pretty average with people taking selfies... More

Went on a tour that stopped here on the way back. It is just an old train station that now looks pretty run down. Maybe if we went on one of the train rides to the nearby pagoda it would have been better

If you want to visit the old railway station I think 10 minutes are enough. It's not so interesting there. It's not a 'must have' when you're in Dalat.

Da Lat station must have been quite something in its day and it was interesting to see that much of it has survived. In the UK it would have been 'modernised' long before it was taken out of service. Pity that the stained glass is now glass painted with coloured paint (panted badly -lots of drips!) We also took the... More

Only visited the station. Didnt even know a train ride is available. Oh well, maybe next time. The decommissioned locomotive and carriages are now coffee shops. Kinda sad if you ask me. Could have been a really useful engine (in a thomas and friends tone). The passenger hall can easily be used as a movie set. Great architecture but the... More
