Very clean beautiful

The beach is very clean and the water is very warm. You can walk for miles easily. There is a trail up in the trees but you need shoes to be able to walk in the shade. There's lots of places that you can stop at the hotels just up and over the hill from the beach for a drink... More

Mai Khao beach is in NW Phuket, quiet, out of the way and maybe hard to find. It's a very long, sandy beach with great views along the coast and out to sea. Faces west, so sunsets can be good. The tide rarely goes very far out and comes up close to the sandhills at high tide, so little variation... More

We stay at Baan Mai Khao residence. Best holiday ever. A photo worth a thousand words. 20 min door to door from airport in a stretch of luxury hotels. The beach is quiet and exclusive, very different to Low end Patong beach. You can enjoy fine dining at 5 star hotels or local street food on the beach. Pony ride... More

I stayed in Grand West Sands and Anantara Vacation Club Resort and they share the same long beach. This beach is very long and peaceful. There is no any water sports here because, as told by a staff in the resort, it's a reserved zone and no water sport is allowed to keep this place ideal for sea turtle. Though... More

Great beach to go to in tandem with the Soi Dog Foundation. The winds had the planes taking off, which was cool, but not as cool as them landing. Be warned that the police can come down there from time to time... it's illegal to lay around there.... signs are up. So I'd suggest not having anything else illegal going... More

if you are looking for privacy and nothing.....go here. The was clean, but no fish or snorkeling. It's just a below average beach.

A nice beach to go for a walk. It's really wide and there aren't much other people. A big comparison to other beaches in Phuket. But during the whole week the current was everyday to heavy. Not suitable for swimming and no supervision or anything else like a shower, shops or beds. So we found it too scary to swim... More

Nice beach. Not crowded unless near one of the resorts. Some eating places and other shops we came across near the Holiday Inn. There was also a laundry service there - about Bt85 for a kilo of laundry. Waves were big when the tide was coming in. But fairly calm otherwise. Quite a steep drop-off as some have pointed out.... Best unspoilt beach, stunning and quiet. Good for relaxing and swimming. Able to walk straight from resort onto beach and free from traders. Not a single bit of trash or waste.
