Jumped on a motorbike taxi to the park it’s easy enough to find. Paid yeh man would gave me rod. I do not know how to fish but always wanted to catch a decent size one. Guy sets up bait and rod and casts it into the water. There’s plenty of fish in there. Short time later I have a big fish on my line, I struggled to pull it it and it was great fun and a big adrenaline rush. After 20mins it was landed, a 25pound fish. Get the photo taken and throw back and guy sets up the rod again. I know purists would say that it’s not really fishing but to someone like myself who hasn’t got a clue I loved it. Food and drink served all day aswell. 3hours for I think 500baht so it’s really inexpensive. Next time I’m in Pattaya I will go back. A good fisherman could catch half a dozen. Loved it

I have visited this place many times but will not be going again. Ok to catch big fish but boring as only giant mekongs and a few striped catfish. Very expensive now at 1500 baht a rod. What i really dont like is the poor treatment of the fish.

We visited Jomtien Fishing Park on 2nd April 2016.
2 Adults & 2 Teen Boys.
We arrived just before 11am.
Plenty of space - not too busy.
Very hot day - the shelter was a welcome relief.
Good price for rod hire & bait - appx £10 each.
Other fishing parks nearby are charging 3 or 4 times this amount.
As soon as the rods were put in the lake the fish were biting.
Very exciting.
The boys couldn't believe how big the fish were.
There are helpers there to assist if you are a bit squeamish or need help with the rods / bait.
They have a catch & release system with the fish - take your pictures quickly before putting the fish back into the lake.
We all caught at least 3 - 4 fish each.
We were there for around 3 hours.
You can purchase food & drinks there.
Bottles water - 10 Baht Each.
There are adequate toilet facilities too.
Taxi from Pattaya Beach to Jomtien Fishing Park was around 200 Baht - Appx £4 each way.
The taxis will try to charge higher - need to haggle.
Would recommend Jomtien Fishing Park to all.
We all had a fab time.

Perfect for sports fishing, because most of the time the fish is returned to the water, place the place is very comfortable to go as turn from Jomtien Beach soi 14 and across Second Street, comes with little time to fishing, I asked them to approach the lake to take pictures and digeron me that was not possible, "hurts"

Ok so spend some hours for catch&release, if liking this sport. Paid some 500 bath for the experience. Got a spot far away from the "bar area" and noticed that this gave not as good catch as those near the bar. After spending 4 hours I got 1 fish ashore while others got 10. Maybe it was only my fishing luck. Prize (whisky/beer) for a fish of a certain size. The staff was very accomodating.

Guaranteed non stop fun. If you enjoy a good bendy rod, go to this place. By memory i think the biggest catch is 25pounds. A great couple hours of fun.

No need to bring anything, for 600+baht (fishing rod and bait incl)you can spend an amazing afternoon there! My husband and son loved it, had never caught fish so big before!

This place was so good we came twice! Very chilled, not like at home where you are waiting 3-4 hours for a fish the size of your hand. The staff are amazing, they bait up and cast for you if you don't wish to, then you wait for the fish to bite......
While you're waiting, you can enjoy a beer or two, or the fantastic food they have on offer.
We had a great day for our mates birthday, the first time there was 8 of us, then when we went the next time there was 16 of us (word got round how good and fun it was!).
I recommend this to absolutely everyone, a thoroughly joyful day and i can guarantee you'll catch at least one fish during your time there, rather than spending hours and hours back in England waiting for nothing.

We stayed locally and went twice during our stay. For 700b it’s a great days fishing. We only stayed for a few hours due to catching so many massive fish. The lake is full of Mekong catfish 20lb - 40lb average. They have a great helper on hand if needed.

They supply everything you need, bait up for you, cast out Ect if need be.
