Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had planned to visit one of the big stadiums in Bangkok, but due to the Xmas and new year celebrations, both were shut..

We moved down to Pattaya on New Years Eve and saw that on 1st Jan 2014 there was Mauy Thai at Boxing World so we went...

A great stadium... (We were ring side) Purpose built for Mauy Thai and MMA fights. We payed 1200Bht (£24) per person, that's the Ferang (foreigners price - Thais pay around 50 - 100 Bht (£1 - £2)... 9 fights in total when we went... 7 KO's, 1 disqualification and 1 broken lower leg... Great night, great atmosphere, watching all the locals gambling and cheering, I would Definatley go again...

The tickets for foreigners is 1200. The fight were real but most of the fighters appeared to be children or teens. For the price in comparison to Bangkok muay Thai there's not a lot to complain about.

I watch the Max Muay Thai shows via the Internet at home so it was a real treat to go to two shows when we were on holiday here. Tickets and transport were arranged by the guys at Fairtex so all we had to do was show up at the hotel and we were really taken care of.

Excellent quality of fights, great atmosphere, high quality production and a great little stadium. My little boy was able to pose for photos with fighters after the show too!

Excellent entertainment, and why would you go all the way to Thailand and not go and watch some Muay Thai??

Most of Pattaya was just sleaze.... sex...ladyboys.... everywhere you look this is what catches your eye.... BUT Pattaya has also some good sports entrainment where you can see traditional Thai boxing. Pattaya Boxing world owned by Alex Sudaji offers one such must have experience. Scenes from Hollywood flicks come alive in this stadium. People shouting out their bets!!.. international famous martial artists Miko Rosa were also present to prove themselves.
You visit Pattaya you must see this.. could probably inspire you to take up Thai Boxing.

We would have gone again if it wasn't so expensive for foreigners with me. The Thai price is fabulous (love it!)!

We loved it though - all the fights were great. We did get lucky and go on a world championship belt night, so the fights were possibly different than some of the other reviewers here have noted.

There was no assigned seating and there were not so many people, so we got great seats and were very happy and could see everything. Toilets there are disgusting so try not to drink too much.

Have been to a few Muay Thai fights and although the fight card was not as good as what I've seen in Patong you are closer to the action here, I think on a better fight card this would be a great night, transport to and from Pattaya City use motorbike taxi should cost around 100 - 150 THB

We went here with friends who got VIP tickets for us, so we were in the first row and could see and feel the sweat, blood and spittle fly. We had no idea what the running order would be but we soon found out that each fight was around 7 mins long and there were 9 or so fights. In the short breaks, the audience was dancing for a free t-shirt and the whole event was streamed live, which added to the excitement when you saw yourself on the big screen (not very flattering). However, I did feel for some of the fighters as they were 14 or 15 years old. Having said that, if the sport is a ticket to more freedom and seeing the world and they get something out of it, that has to be a good thing. I sometimes squirmed but the atmosphere was great plus it was a one-off and I have to say I'm pleased I experienced it this close up. Something different for me but one I won't forget

For a long time I wanted to see live Thai boxing, and used my short visit to Pattaya to make the dream come true. The arena is well managed and the show was great, with easy access, good seats, visual effects and loud "champions league" music. I watched 7 fights. The guys frighted like their life depends on it - their carriers certainly do. I could see no signs of fixed fights. The fighters were young but adults, and I enjoyed watching their respectful sportsmanship.
The whole arrangement is very commercial, and I was not offer to purchase any ticket but the VIP for 2000 Baht, which is expensive but worth it for me. Got a seat in second row, 7 meters from the ring. You may be able to get a better deal if you book through you hotel.
