Better beach than Pattaya, more quiet and more locals. As locals to there it must be good! Great alternative to Pattaya central.

I have visited Jomtien many times and although the beach is nice the broad walk means you have to walk pass endless rubbish bins which smell.The pavements need updating as I saw two people trip due to very uneven paving...I still like the hustle and...More

I was staying along with my friends right next to jomtien beach. The beach is huge and really clean and well kept. Tou can go for a jog in the morning to make the best of it.

Its a soft beachroad to have a walk and chillout,many restaurants,shops,minimarkets.sunbeds swimming etc.

Pattaya beach usually gets crowded and not much sand on beach so just across the hill Jometin beach is a good options, if you like good clean beach hire a boat or take regular large boat to Coral Island, clean nice and good environment. Service...More

Beach is clean. A nice place to sit and relax. Not much crowded.. clean beach.. less noicy.. good street nearby. Overall a good experience if you want to be away from city's hustle.

The beach in Jomtien is better then Pattaya beach so grab a bath bus and you be there in 20 min... :-)

I think the answer would be no, you can always just walk into the bigger hotels and take a chance.
