All you see from the beach is speed boats, yachts and ships. The beach isn't very clean. You'd be better off visiting the Tiger park or the botanical garden or one of the other scenic locations.

Pattaya beach is like a bay where almost semi-circular shape is found. The sand area is about 15-20 meters in width. Locals have parties or get-together while children are busy in playing etc. Foreigners too are found. There are resting long chairs (found near swimming...More

Beach is ok, they are doing work on it to try and make it more sandy. I still feel it’s not really a beach you would want to spend too much time in. As for going into the sea that’s a big NO. Good job...More

Was disappointed with the rubbish people leave behind,.After so much talk of polythene bags and plastic. Needs some sort of signs for people to be aware of the damage this causes. Lovely stretch of beach ruined by this behaviour. Plenty of activities , kite surfing,...More

Pattaya beach is just terrible unless you enjoy sitting under a parasol close close to other people and smell the petrol from hundreds of boats. Water is dirty and nothing to swim in. We turned back to the hotel and pool immediately.

I have been visiting more than 30 times since 1988. I*saw the growth in the country and the death of the tuks tuks which used to rule Bangkok's streets. I have been to every region of the country. Nothing prepares for the horror sight of...More

This beach extends all the way from north to south of pattaya. Although quality of sand is OK, the crowds on the beach and boats in the sea (5 metres from the shore) make it inpossible to have a fun day. If you want to...More
