We build this location into every outdoor event. Wat Phra Yai temple is on Pratumnak Hill. The Lord Buddha statue is an amazing sight. It is 18 metres tall and impossible to miss. It is the highlight of any Pattaya visit and a must-see. The main reason we built this iconic location into our activities.

On top of a hill.. 10 years ago. Perhaps the highest vantage point at that time. Fast forward to October 2020.. And this sanctuary has become lost in the urban sprawl that is Pattaya today.
Good views from the top on a clear day. No entrance fee. Several statues and little shops to purchase what ever religious items devotees may require.
At the bottom of the stairs there are some basic shops for drinks and snacks.
The stairs are an easy climb.. But i did not see any wheelchair signs or ramps for people that required mobility assistance.

Glad i got to check it off my list.
Would i recommend this site... Not so sure... I have seen other places nearby that has made a far greater impression.
The choice is yours ultimately.

A very calm and beautiful place of worship. Many local families paying their respects. Good Covid control at entrance. Bonus of a good view from the top of the city. Love the stairs adorned by dragons leading up to the top. See picture.

When in Pattaya do not miss this one. Many prebooked packages donot take you here , you can ask your hotel manager to book a local package for the city which includes few beautiful points including this one. Do not miss it. Its very very beautiful.

Worth a visit for the experienc. There was lot of rubbish on the hillside and parking is a nightmare so would suggest parking at the bottom and taking what is quite a pleasant walk up the hill instead. Staff were friendly and overall it was a positive experience
