Right in Central Pattaya is the most notable and oldest attraction that the city has to offer. Welcome to Alcazar Show. The music and dance extravaganza normally goes to full house everyday so it is highly recommended to book tickets in advance.
The 1-hour show with around 8-10 acts is a must watch as the most talented artists sway to music. The set, light and costume designs are marvelous. All guests are served a welcome drink before the enter the grand auditorium.

Just wow! This show is worth of watching. The performers were highly professional. It's very clear that they take good care of themselves.
You can take a picture for some small money before start of the show. I recommend to go for it. Please, be polite to the ladies. One man tried to touch of of them. I found that very disrespectful. I took some pictures with the lady in silver dresses. She was beautiful so I gave her a compliment. Trans-gender people should be more supported. It must be hard for those of them that mean it seriously.
The performance covered dancing and lip-syncing for few songs from different countries, so probably everybody found something that they like. I found Indian and Russian the most interesting, even though I don't speak any of the countries' languages.
The show lasts exactly 1 hour and it's not possible to take pictures or videos. In the end, everybody kind of did.
To sum it up, I strongly recommend the show. I believe you won't be disappointed. In any case, please, be respectful towards performers.

Although my teenage son didn’t think much of this show, I loved it. The costumes and dance routines are gorgeous. Many people on stage so everywhere you look is a feast for the eyes. The girls are beautiful. You can have your photo taken with any of them afterwards for 100baht. But it’s per girl, so if you want your photo taken with 2, then it’s double

I must have gone to Alcazar 3-4 times before. Every time I find there has been a change in items and the effort is there to present something new. It is presented well and artists are committed. The seating and sound systems are excellent

I read a lot of reviews on line stating little/no difference between this show and others (like Tiffany's), and I couldn't disagree more. If trying to make up your mind which show to see, this is why you want Alcazar: 1) while the big shows are like mummers on crack, all have lots of ladyboys making you think you should hit the gym, and all are filled with lots of glitz and big hats, the Alcazar production quality is far superior to others that often seem more like community theater 2) many of the ladyboys at Tiffany's looked like they were on stage because they had lost a bet and didn't want to be there - a few good performers but overall sloppy 3) VIP seats at Alcazar are 200 baht cheaper than Tiffany's, and you can get them for another 200 baht off face value by booking at a sidewalk stand almost anywhere on the street - don't be afraid to negotiate (as of Jan 2012, 600 baht is most you should pay for VIP seating). Take the 200 baht and try the yellow curry stir fried soft shell crabs at the Marriott (which were AMAZING!) 4) Alcazar allows still photography, so you avoid all the Tiffany's photo gestapo and their annoying threats and flashlights throughout the performance when the person sitting next to you can't help but try to get some shots. You also can go home with some great photos with Alcazar

Alcazar show was just behind the D Beach hotel we stayed. The setting is fantastic and the performers do justice to the show. A bit of crowding will be there at the entrance and for collecting welcome drink. Seating arrangement is good. After the show, they will oblige for photograph but will ask for money ranging 100 to 200 THB. I don't recommend for kids since this is more like a cabaret show with songs from various nations. The show lasts for 1hour 15 min.

Alcazar show is mesmerising experience. Must see.
Camera's not allowed they say but almost everyone is shooting throughout.
The Showgirls will put even actresses to shame.
Somebody however asked me about the Sex of the "Showgirls....?"

I am clearly in a minority of reviewers here, but I thought Alcazar was one of the most embarassing theatrical productions I have ever seen.
Let's start with the ticketing process. As others have observed, you will be "encouraged" to take VIP seating which is 200 baht more than regular seating. You will be told that regular seating is almost sold out (although when you get to the theatre you will find plenty of regular seats available). The VIP seating is merely the first X-number of rows at the front - and that includes far wing seats with more limited views. Health and Safety authorities in many countries would have a fit if they saw that some of the VIP seats are simply stacking chairs plonked right in the middle of the aisle! If there was the need for an emergency evacuation, goodness knows what chaos would ensure.
Now let's talk about the parking! In a word, do everything you can to avoid driving to the show. As you arrive, you will be fighting with cars exiting from the previous show. The shows run so tightly back-to-back that not only will you be waiting for cars to leave, but you will see the performers out in the car park posing for pictures (at a price). So immediately, some of the impact of the costumes in the show is lost - you've already seen them! Additionally, the fact that the performers are asking for money to pose with you for a picture is tawdry in the extreme.
So what about the show itself? To me, it was like a pastiche of how a B-movie might portray a 1930s version of this kind of show . . . in the 1970s. Complete with 1970s disco-era production values.
Given the nature of the "ladyboy" show, the performers simply mime records, so there is no real singing, no orchestra, no original score. All you are seeing are set-pieces with some fairly awful sets, some miming and some extremely slow and unimaginative dance routines.
And after the mercifully brief show, it's negotiating an exit with multiple hazards and out into the car park throng to battle new cars arriving and exhortations to pose for pictures - at a price.
Pattaya at its worst.

We booked our tickets with our hotel. However I have seen many people selling in stores and on the street. I am sure that you could find a website where you could purchase online.

Well, there is nothing pornografic there. So safe from this perspective for underaged kids. But it is loud and they may not be interested in such form of entertainment.
