Stumbled on this place after the magic garden.
The parrots were chained up on small logs (one’s chain was even stuck so it couldn’t get to its water bowl)
The lizards were kept in a metal floored cage and as soon as they saw people they tried to get out.
The doves/ pigeons were spray painted, some were physically unwell, looking drenched from the colours added to their feathers.
The sheep and goats looked so sad, walking round in circles.
Not a nice experience. Felt awful leaving knowing they will be kept in those conditions for years to come.
Please think twice before going here.

Walked in expecting a wildlife park. Figured out my THB contributed to keeping this jail for animals running. Really broke my heart. Small cages, insanely sad to see (and I usually walk into Zoos light-heartedly). Parrots look like they are losing their mind. Pigeons who are dyed for our delight are a sad sight, too. Take my word: it’s not a “farm”, it’s a 1970s cramped zoo.

I am a massive animal lover (and a qualified vet nurse) as such i was told to avoid any animal attractions, so decided not to do an elephant trek. Well today we had a guide to drive us around the island and he took us to all the tourist attractions and spots, and honestly, i wish i had stayed home. I wanted to go to a coconut farm and see the monkeys picking the coconuts.. unfortunately due to the language barrier he took us to the monkey zoo/monkey show, we unwittingly walked inside and saw some horrific things, i should have just turned around and left, but after paying 400 baht and not knowing where the exit was, and i wanted to see the coconut farm... there were about 30 monkeys on chains who climbed all over us and ripped my earring out, then we were forced to watch a monkey show which comprised of one poor guy doing tricks for 3 minutes. There were cages with birds, monkeys, a bear and some kind of cats who hissed at the staff. I went to say hello to one of the chained monkeys and it bit me! Luckily did not pierce the skin!!
i fell in love with a gibbon who sat on the wire cage and stretched his hand out to hold mine and looked at me with eyes which i'm sure said 'please save me from this hell', so i stayed with him holding his hand for 5 minutes to try and comfort him..tears welled up in my eyes as i had to leave him. I know I probably shouldn't say this, but I honestly contemplate suicide upon leaving the place as i wish i could forget everything i saw, but can't stop thinking about..
We then headed to a waterfall which was fine, but this was also where the elephant trekking was, as such i had to go see that they were ok, unfortunately another mistake, as 2 adults, and 2 babies stood with chains around there feet, 5m by 5m enclosures with no water or food as they all stood there swaying (in obvious bas mental states) so i bought a bucket of food which they gobbled down (maybe all they get???). Yet more tears welled up in my eyes, i got in the car to leave.. then we got taken up to paradise park, where we stopped to see some birds, another 400 baht later, please god let this place be better.As soon as we walked in, a woman put bird food in our hands and showed us to a large cage where budgies flew all around us and ate from our hands..this was a slightly better start, and the birds seem as happy as a bird can be in a cage! Then there was some very colourful birds which i'd never seen before, but as we got closer we realised that they were DYED pigeons (probably toxic) not cool!! Luckily the birds seemed happyish flying around picking up seed.
Then on one of the cages i spotted potentially a small squirrel like animal chained up to one of the bird cages, barely moving. I checked to see if it was alive, it was (barely), checked and the chain around its neck was quite tight, and it had a lump, which i suspect was probably a malignant abdominal tumour, i pray that he passes away tonight in peace and goes to a better place.
Then we had 2 parrots put on our shoulders and an iguana placed on our lap so we could have a photo taken. The parrots and iguana were also all on chains.
Can honestly say one of the worst days of my life, that i wish I could forget. Ruined my holiday, and i will never go back to thailand.
Please don't support these organisations, i'm sure the money doesn't go towards helping the animals!

Avoid this place, avoid paying a 400bth for seeing mistreated animals, avoid this and you will do a favour to those poor animals. We saw injured birds, a couple of squirrels chained by their necks and standing above a bench with no range for move. Parrots in a small cages, chained parrots, chained iguanas... HELL FOR ANIMALS

Myself and husband visited here during our honeymoon to koh samui. Being animal lovers, we visited here as it's quite out of the way and this lead us to believe it may be different to the many places you hear about in Thailand where the majority of the animals are sedated for the sake of a photo. As soon as we walked in, a woman put bird food in our hands and showed us to a large cage where budgies flew all around us and ate from our hands..this was all very fun and the birds seem as happy as a bird can be in a cage! We spotted a small squirrel like animal chained up to come railings, it's left eye very infected. He kept leaping around as if in distress, every now and then the woman would shout something at it. Then we had 2 parrots put on our shoulders and an iguana placed on our lap so we could have a photo taken. The parrot bit my head and the woman angrily shouted something at it and raised her hand which caused the parrot so cower..this has obviously happened many times. The parrots and iguana were also all on chains. We had a walk around the grounds which were lovely, there's a pool which was average looking. We circled back and saw a sign for 'goats, sheep deer and horses' being a horsewoman I was excited to see the horse..to this day what I saw haunts me. A pony in a tiny enclosure surrounded my geese, the pony had no shelter, the enclosure was a dusty dry mud hill with no grass, hay or clean water..just a bucket of stagnant looking green water surrounded by flies. I called the pony over and it took him a good 10 minutes to turn around and hobble over to me. His rear left hoof was totally turned inwards and he could barely move, was clearly in a vast amount of pain. His ribs were sticking out and he had no fly protection at all. I spent a good half an hour sitting on the floor, in floods of tears stroking him through the wire fencing. It was horrendous, because of this I told my husband I didn't want to see anymore, I tried to explain to the woman that the horse needed some urgent attention but the language barrier proved an issue and I don't think she would have cared either way. I have reported this place to PETA and will advise anyone to not support this place. Animals should be admired in their natural habitat and not have to live in such poor conditions for us to get a photograph. I strongly believe if we humans wish to see animals which pose a threat then it's us who should be in cages to protect ourselves and not the other way around. Thailand and koh samui are beautiful but I an honestly say this was the worst part of my honeymoon. Steer well clear.

I visited the park April 2013.. with my 2 daughters, 2 grandsons and some friends..
My eldest daughter held the monkey, but my friends daughter was scared to hold the monkey and panicked when the keeper threw the monkey on her as she is only 6 years old..The monkey got frightened, and scratch my friends daughter...The keeper of monkey kicked the monkey so hard, the children were crying..
He then took the monkey down a side opening where he was seen to punch and kick the monkey so hard he was sweating, he had to take his t shirt off to carry on with the beating...Please do not go to this park...the animals are mistreated.

thats not what I want to teach my kids about kids and nature. It's pretty common in thailand but I really think there are enough cruelty free activities to enjoy with kids when in Samui..

101% Stunning they say, the place is hell on earth for the animals! There were so many extremely sick birds and other animals there, as well as Macaws, Cockatoos, African Greys and Ecclectus chained to perches by their legs on chains too short to even reach the ground so they would hang by their leg to reach the food (what little they had!) that had fallen and then couldn't get back up.
One African Grey got his toe stuck in the chain and when I mentioned it to the lady, she was ok with me telling her and came straight over to "help", by basically yanking the Grey up by the chain and nearly broke his toe! I had to help and gently extracted his toe but you could tell it was hurt. Several others already had toes and claws missing from the same thing happening and they were not given any stimulation at allas well as an obviously poor diet.
They had a big aviary filled with budgies, lovebirds and cockatiels and a little budgie came over to me immediately that had an extremely overgrown top beak and such a bad case of scaly mites that his eyes were almost closed and his whole face was bleeding! There were many others in there that were quite sick too and in another room they had several very, very sick birds just sitting in cages, including a chick that was maybe about 2 weeks old, featherless and shivering in the middle of a cage! I couldn't continue through the park and left the place in tears!
As a parrot owner myself and semi-professional parrot behavioural consultant I have to say their claim of regular vet checks seems to be an obvious lie!
The sign there says they're European owned and managed (which I've since been informed isn't true!) but even so, there's no excuse nowadays for such bad treatment, even in Thailand.
Squirrels chained to seats and I saw at least one that looked on the verge of death! The staff would put the parrots on people for photos with big iguanas right next to them, one of the macaw's kept attacking it.
The parrots are all beautiful but basically prisoners! If you care about animal welfare, avoid this place like the plague!!

We were on a drive and decided to stop in. Was 300 baht to go in. Was so sad to see monkeys chained up to the ground on a chain that was about 50 cms long, cockatoos tied up by chains also. About 10 rabbits in a small cage. Was really sad to see. We ended up walking out after five minutes. I would not recommend this place at all to anyone.

Animal cruelty!!! So they don’t drug tigers or offers elephants riding BUT they color their pigeons with SPRAY PAINT!!!! Yes ! Those colorful pigeons are sprayed with colors so you can take a photo with a colorful bird!!! Not enough money for parrots?

Tried the find this place, used google map it took us somewhere in a mountain, there is no signs of life :) website is dead ! Still want to go there but all maps taking to wrong places, including the one in TripAdvisor.
Any help with directions will be appreciated.

С малышом и коляской Вы сможете комфортно пройтись по верхней части парка где вольеры с попугаями, голуби, павлины, какаду и пройти немного под уклон к бассейну, зоне релакса и смотровой площадке.
Самое большое удовольствие нам доставила прогулка по склону горы через вольеры с крупными животными (горные бараны, антилопы, страусы, верблюды, и др.) а потом вы выходите на крутой склон с которого открываются безумные виды на тропический лес и море где-то далеко внизу, по склону проложены заросшие буйной тропической растительностью и чудесными цветами бетонные дорожки, есть диковинные беседки и зоны отдыха. Все, описанное мной во второй части требует определенной физподготовки. Дорожки со множеством ступенек, а по склону это сплошные нескончаемые ступени. Мы прошли по самому простому и легкому пути, нам было не легко. Есть ребята, которые бродили там пару часов и сбросили по 5 кг))) В эту часть на коляске никак. Хотя быстренько прогуляться по вольерам с крупными животными можно с ребенком на руках и не ходить дальше на склон а вернуться через вольеры (назад немного в горку) обратно. В любом случае, если Вы едете на Самуи, Paradise Park must visit!
