The Bann Kang Wat market is an art & community mall outskirts of Chiang Mai. There are small cafe, Di Old Chiang Mai Cafe 197, where we have nice coffee and cake; we recommend the Mango Cheese Cake.

People can take pictures with lovely houses and art works which look great on instagram. Some spots require 10B to photograph. There were studios/shops of clothes, bags, pottery, jewelry and drinks. It also offered a lot of workshops. Things sold there was not very impressive....More

Rather commercialised place already, loads of Asian tourists there to take pictures. Nice to stroll around but after 40 min or so you have basically seen the place. Beautiful greenery & garden. Many small art galleries etc. We wanted to have lunch there on Sunday...More

Saturday morning, a few shops are closed but many coffee places are open. Appreciated the greenery and the beauty of cluster building. Some shops offer craft class, and sell craft items.

Low-key Thai artist community with cafes, a market, public workshops & many handicrafts for sale. If you are a handmade lover so this should be a must stop spot for you.

Small cafes and handicraft shops, even an outdoor stage for mini concerts and film shows makes this a place with visiting. But go there on a day with activity, presumably weekends!
