I visited Chiang Mai and got two suits made here. The suits fit amazingly and the quality is unbelievable. They level of professionalism was pretty outstanding, they had me and my friends measured 3 separate times in the matter of a day while we traveled Chiang Mai as we had a very limited time frame.
I was so satisfied with the suits that I got two more delivered earlier this year. Cannot reccomend New Moda strongly enough.

Overall an excellent experience. Great customer service and attention to detail. It seemed like few too many visits for a bespoke suit and a fairly normal suit size (42R), but I guess that just highlights their desire to get the right fit. Very friendly, and eager to work with clients. It is a small but classier place than so many others on the city - definitely not the aggressive tailors standing on the street corner trying to sell you.

This was my second visit to New Moda Custom Tailors within 3 years. I was very satisfied with the shirts I have tailored on the first visit with Max. The material is better than the tailors in Bangkok. On my second visit, I have tailored work shirts, pants and suits. He was patient and service-oriented as I took my time to decide what colour and design suit me best. Max was quick to provide good suggestions on what colours would go well with my physique and the type of events I can wear the outfits for. Max also made the effort to deliver the tailored clothings to my hotel on two different occasions for fitting and final delivery. Overall experience was fantastic and I would recommend anyone visiting Chiang Mai to visit them for tailoring.

I had a great time at New Moda. I would recommend this place to any friends looking for a quality suit at a competitive price.
Max the tailor was very friendly and professional as well as offering good advice in regards to fabric selection and suit/shirt styles.
I was even offered a ride back to my hotel as well as delivery of the suit.

When you get to Chiang Mia there are Taylor’s on every corner. We picked New Moda based on other travelers reviews and we were not disappointed. The staff was excellent. They catered to all of our requests. They are open long hours from 10 am to midnight so not to interfere with your day. We needed roughly 5 days to get the suits how we wanted them however we did visit during the busiest time of year so I suspect they typically wouldn’t need that much time. On the day we picked up the suits, we needed to be quick so we could get to the airport on time and they offered and brought us to the airport! Overall it was a great experience and we highly recommend them!

I can’t say enough about New Moda. I have lived in Chiang Mai for five years and worked with several different shops for my professional dress clothing. Recently I had two suits and a jacket made at New Moda. The quality is excellent and I really enjoyed talking with the staff. They are fair priced and you don’t feel like you are being cheated there. They really treat you well and I encourage anyone in Chiang Mai seeking dress clothing to go to them.

Good service, dito quality. Very friendly, without being too pushy, approach in a neutral way. Good color advice. Big choice of fabrics. Ready whenever you need it. But if possible takes his time for retouche. From now on I can carry a suit which does not only feels great but also looks great. Fair price for every budget. Thank you.

I arrived in Chiang Mai ready to begin teaching but had no appropriate dress clothes. After searching online, I found New Moda's reviews and immediately realized their extremely high rating was a good sign they could be trusted. Sure enough! The owner personally took care of my needs. He provided me with insightful cultural advice about what apparel was appropriate, explained the pros/cons of the fabric, took careful measurements, offered me a very fair price and had everything ready before the promised date. I could not have been more pleased with my purchases and would definitely recommend New Mods to anyone seeking casual, work or formal wear!

I found the place online and decided to come in and see what sort of experience I could find. I came to Thailand knowing that I had a new job at home that required a new suit, and figured this would be a great time to get squared away.
Luckily I had the time to make sure that everything was exactly the way I wanted it to be, because Max and the rest of the staff were extremely personable and helped me feel great about what I was going to be getting. I was expecting to have a measurement day, and one, maybe two fitting appointments, but because I was ordering 2 suits with slightly different needs, I needed a few extra times in the shop. They were always ready when the appointments were scheduled, and even while being very familiar and friendly, we were able to get right down to business each time and get me on my way, back to enjoying vacation with my wife.
Overall A+ experience, very glad to know that they retain measurements for the future, in case I need more.

I highly recommend Gary and New Moda. I phoned around a few local tailors in Chiang Mai, but Gary was the most reasonable, the most flexible and the most obliging. He worked with existing fabrics I had, and I also bought fabric from him. He couldn't have been kinder or more professional. I was delighted with everything he tailored for me, and had a great brand new wardrobe (skirts, shirts, shorts, tops etc) for a couple of hundred dollars. There were a couple of fittings so that everything was perfect. Great central location, and an additional bonus, a very kind and interesting man, with great English. Thanks Gary, I will be back!

I loved my suit. Past tense because the wife threw the pants out by mistake.
My uncle lived in Chiang Mai and passed away shortly after I returned.
I need a new pair of pants. I’ve got details of when I bought (and a photo of me in it with Lucky). Could you make me some more pants?

Hi there. It may be late for you, but I will answer for the other people that will check this Q&A in the future.
As at 25/02, John showed me several fabrics with different quality and prices for the colour I wanted. I picked one that cost THB6,500, but it can be over THB10,000 if you go for a high-quality one.
They close and answer the phone late (I called John at 23:15 the night before going there to close the deal). I believe it is by 23:30 or later.
I recommend future customers to contact them in advance to explain what your timeframes are, just to be on the safe side. I spent three nights in Chiang Mai and this was enough for them to make me some shirts and a complete suit (jacket and pants).
