I have been to Chiang Mai several times, and never ever have I missed out going to the Anusarn Night Market. Not, that there a spectacular new things to expect, it's just the feeling to deep-dive into a certain aspect of Thai culture. I love the various foods that are for grabs, the exotic scents, the greats handcrafted things that... More

You have to go here at night so all the shops are open and it is cooler. If you can imagine it, they probably have it. I bought a painting and some dried fruits to take home. I had to by a piece of luggage to carry everything in. Happy souvenir hunting.

The last time I was in Chiang Mai was in 2008 and so much have certainly change over the years. The whole stretch of the streets nearby the Anusarn night market is pack with other night markets. I must say, it's impossible to see all in just one night! What I specifically love about Anusarn Night market is also about... More

A walk through the Anusarn Night market is a great thing to do any evening in Chiang Mai. It is never complete unless one stops for a banana roti with Nutella!

We got Chiang Mai after Bangkok and before returning to Bangkok from Phuket. I saved most of my souvenir shopping until the last night in Bangkok. I found myself saying "I saw that listed for half that price in Chiang Mai"...almost worth a flight back just to shop. Stock up if you can! But, it's always good to have an... More

There are a ton of places to shop and eat at here. It was a bit overpriced and touristy (but that also means they speak English) for my taste, but was still fun to walk around.

It was pretty much same as the other markets. Similar items, but definitely slightly cheaper here. Although prices are vary from a store to a store. Therefore, it would be good to walk around first to make good purchases. Please remember that there are different prices for local and tourists.

Many interesting local products are sold here from t-shirts, shawls, pareos, jewellery, perfumed soaps, local tidbits and the list goes on. There are also many cafes and restaurants, including halal restaurants for the Muslims. A lot of amazing and unique ice cream can also be found there, attracting one to try it out. I enjoyed browsing through the handicrafts here... More
