Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Kool place, see how they make souvenirs. Get your notebook cover painted or jeans painted, by hand while you wait. See many different ways they make different souvenirs. No pressure to buy only takes 30 minutes, very worthwhile

Center for the Promotion of Arts and Culture is part Chiang Mai University and holds some exhibitions. There's a lot of space here but it often seems unused. Has a lot of potential but looks like it could use more support. Entrance is always free. They show work of local artists. The main entrance is in Nimmanheiman Road.

Chiang Mai artists hand-make paper, then create umbrellas, scrolls and stationery. The artists paint the umbrellas solid color, then add designs meticulously by hand. We had a scroll painted with Japanese cherry blossoms. The stationery had great texture and made great gifts. Very much enjoyed. My concern is for the nice workers exposed to the the powerful toxic fumes of the paint.

It was a Sunday and it was open. Only exhibition was about photography. Didn't get to see anything else. Most doors were closed that day. I wasn't sure about the reason. However the photography exhibit was free of charge.
