My Wife and I did the dinner class and it was an awesome time. They picked us up from our hostel in Old Town and took us to the place where the class was held.
Ms. Nina and An were our instructors and they were friendly, funny, helpful and extremely informative! We each made an appetizer, a soup, a noodle dish, a curry and a desert and you can take whatever you don’t eat to go.
All in all it was a great time and we highly recommend to anyone looking to do a cooking class while in Thailand. Tremendous value.

Thank you to Nina for one of the best experiences during our trip to Thailand! Everything about the day was perfectly planned out, from being picked up at our hotel, escorted through the food market, to cooking the actual meals with plenty of time to eat and relax. It wasn’t a rushed experience which allowed us to truly enjoy it. Nina has a great sense of humour and definitely made the whole day for us fantastic. Would definitely visit again!!

Great experience that I would highly recommend! They are great with kids and even held my baby for most of the time for me. Transport is included depending on your hotel which was really nice. It was super organized and accommodating for vegetarians.

What an amazing experience. Able to choose the dishes you want to prepare with the ability to modify as desired. Pot who runs the school is a great guy and made the experience a lot of fun. Make sure you show up hungry since the amount of food you prepare and eat is insane. They send you recipe books at the end of the night. Highly recommended.

I LOVED my experience. My group and I decided to do the dinner experience and we would absolutely return. Nina made our experience really memorable. She was knowledgeable AND hilarious. If you were considering this even a little, just go ahead, log off trip advisor, and give them a call to set up your experience. No regrets.

Fantastic course, absolutely loved the experience and learnt a lot in a very short space of time.
We did the half day morning course with Nina. There was two other people on the day course who we made all of the dishes with.
We lead a vegan lifestyle and Nina showed us what alternatives to use and everything turned out amazing, the green curry was the best we've had in Thailand so far, full of flavour, very very good.
A very enjoyable experience and as a chef myself it was great to be able to go to the market and learn about the different fruits and vegetables and then make everything from scratch.
5* highly recommend.

A great cooking class with heaps of options to choose from. All students get to cook their own choice of dish over their own stove. Nina, our head chef, was amazing! A fantastic must do experience for Thailand!

I was very excited about the cooking class but sadly I left disappointed. I was the only person in the group so everything was a little boring. After cooking every dish they give you time for eating, so I had to force myself into eating noodles, curry and papaya salad at 10.30 in the morning. (Make sure you don't have breakfast before the cooking class).
I think the eating part could be funny, but if you are left alone for eating it's a different experience. The course finished at 11.30, not at 1. Even this is due to the fact that it was like a private class, but 800 baths for 2 hours (1 hour of markets eating, waiting and just one of actual cooking) is exaggerated. I didn't appreciate Nina setting fire to the wok without warning me seriously, it was a joke for her, but I am scared of fire and I don't want to go to the hospital during my holiday.

We were very much looking forward to this cooking class and based on all the positive reviews I had no question that it would be fantastic. Well I was wrong, very, very wrong. To start off with we were picked up in one of those red trucks that should fit about 8-9 people comfortably, we proceeded to pick up 13 people!! We were practically sitting on top of eachother obviously with no AC. That alone was miserable. When we finally got to the school we were separated into
2 groups. Our group didn't get the owner as our teacher which at first we were happy about because she just came off extremely annoying, but then realized that the guy that we got as our instructor was pretty terrible. Our soups came out awesome, the noodles decent but the curry and the dessert weren't edible. Who has heard of a cooking class where your food came out inedible. Literally everyone in our group couldn't take more than a bite of their curry. We were all complaining and saying it tasted terrible so the instructor came over tasted our curries made a face (because it was disgusting!) and said, 'it's fine'. In addition to that while we were cooking, he gAve no explanation as to why we were using certain ingredients, didn't even explain what the ingredients were, didn't talk about what they add to the flavor or anything along those lines. We did an evening class, we were there for 3-4hours and learned nothing! I would've learned more and would have a better experience if we were just following a recipe from a book. With that said, the people in the other group with the other instructor (she was the owner) were much happier with their food. The way they were cooking it also looked different as they used different techniques than we were taught. Although, like I said there was something so annoying about the owner, spending 4 hours with her wouldn't make things much better. At the end she came over to our table and gave us 'certificates' and said, 'you passed!' To Which I replied, 'you wouldn't be saying that if you tried our food.' She smiled, and walked away. I don't understand how during the entire class or even at the end of it she never came over to our table and asked how the food was or worse even when we complained about it she still said nothing. We couldn't wait to leave and go back to our hotel, but again it wasn't that easy as all 13 of us had to squeeze back into that red truck like a package of sausages. Oh and as far as transportation my husband and I were the first ones to get picked up and the driver was on time. However, talking to the other couples there they were waiting outside In the rain for 30-45 minutes, because the driver was that late. Turns out they told all these different people with hotels miles away from eachother the same pickup time. Based on all the reviews obviously a lot of people have very different experiences, but I would strongly urge for you to find a different school. There are so many in chiang Mai, take your money and time elsewhere.

How far in advance would we have to book for a small or private class?
Written 30 December 2016
Hey we booked it the day of in the morning but it was low season and we were only two people. I would do it a couple days in advance but don't worry too much about it

They seemed to be very accommodating to all food intolerances, allergies and preferences, so yes I am sure all dishes would be able to be prepared without meat or with tofu. But, a key component of most Thai food is fish sauce, which may not be appropriate for some vegetarians.

hi,
we have a four year old. can she also come to the class ?
Written 11 April 2016
We cooked with our five year old who helped each of us rather than separately. This worked well as it meant good supervision while allowing them to join in with chopping, chucking ingredients in the wok/pot.
