Our day started off by being picked up at our hotel followed by a trip to a local market which was an introduction to the produce we would be using later on. We were able to choose the dishes we wanted to prepare from a large menu, 7 courses in all. We then spent the rest of the day preparing,... More

We enjoy cooking and love Thai food so we wanted to take a cooking class while here but unfortunately, we were only in Chiang Mai for 2 nights so we didn't have time to take the full class so our guesthouse recommended we take an evening class at Siam Rice. The difference is that in the shortened class, you don't... More

Our homestay recommended Siam Rice for a cooking class and we're very happy we took their advice. The class is fun, engaging, and the instructor's passion for Thai cooking is infectious.

Loved this activity. We were picked up in small groups and met at a local market where we were briefly explained about local ingredients used to make their dishes. We headed to the cooking school and there we made a soup, a noodle dish and a curry of our choice. It was Sooooooo much fun! Our leader j think was... More

Loved this place!!! I'm a fairly confident cook, and really looked forward to this. It's amazing how easy Thai cooking can be when there is a master chef telling you what to do every step of the way!! This is a great place for novices all the way through pro cooks as the staff is great at showing you how... More

First stop was the market, where from get go, Yam, our hilarious and informative tutor, went through all the standard veg and herbs that are used in Thai cuisine. And drilling us... More

We had a great time at our afternoon/evening class with Yam! It's all the fun of cooking with none of the prep or clean up. Yam was friendly, hilarious and bantered with the group, making the whole experience very enjoyable. We thought four hours would feel too long, but we really enjoyed the whole thing. The class is well-organized, fun... More

Such a fun way to spend a half day! The class is well planned out, you get to choose what you want to make and you get to eat it when you're finished! The class is so fun and educational at the same time. You start with a market visit to learn the ingredients. Every visitor to Thailand should do... More

I spent a nice evening at Siam Rice Thai Cookery school. All was very good organized. The food was delicious. It is kind of show cooking, because everything is prepared perfectly and you just have to cut and to put together....
