The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either. Expect a mix of savvy coffee shops, pop-up bars and loads of vintage stores, brought to you by hip locals with eyes for design.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Open air concept restaurant and beer garden with a good amount of food choice, from western food stalls to local thai stalls with reasonable pricing. The place features several pieces of modern art around the area, which makes for a cool hang out vibe. The stalls open at different times, but mostly around 7ish up to around midnight. The only problem was it rained last time we were there, and there was literally no place to hide. Overall, an OK experience. If you're staying in the area, go check it out. But if it's out of your way, it may be a bit of a disapointment.

It's probably a by-product of the new residential development nearby, an open air food and drinks space, very little art.

I expect that the place is peacefull and relaxing art space where you can eat and drink. And yes, you can eat (no thai food) and drink there, but theres not that much art what I expected. It's more like busy and noisy beer garden with full of people. Music is also too loud for my taste, but if you want to drink beer and go loud with your friends, you maybe enjoy this place. I think this space need more art.

I have been here several times and of course depending on the artist exhibiting his / her art, people's reactions will vary, but I like the place, it is usually well organized. There are 2 floors, they choose paintings and sculptures. They even have live art performances sometimes and as the artists are contemporary we can meet them. It is a good place and it is close to an open dining area, so quite nice to visit end of afternoon and stay for dinner.

To be fair, it probably was also because there wasn't much of an exhibition going on. The space has two levels, and many art pieces were on display on the second level which was not air-conditioned and ventilated it feels almost like a make-shift space. The staff were friendly though, but i wouldn't recommend the place to any one unless there was some major exhibition or event going on because the space has the potential to be quite impressive and the surrounding area is quite lively.

This was a great open-air space to eat and drink. If you're after a more Western vibe for your night out, this place will provide you with a chilled atmosphere and reasonable prices. The food selection is great, spanning from Mexican and American food to Thai and Chinese food. Cocktails and beer towers all around.

I'm not really into this type of art but this place has a relaxing feel to it. A large open air tabled area surrounded by many food stalls serving Thai, Italian, Mexican, Indian and western food. Some really good quality and reasonable prices.
Living nearby I often go here for dinner or just a beer and chill out.
It is frequented by Thai and western people and often has a good crowd. Sometimes busy but you can usually get a table

Rather too spacy to be true - wow- architecture meets street food stalls. Fancy Art Galleries show interesting but conservative contemporary art- the king is present in every corner even paintings! Outside you find more street / urban art. There is an artist residence, with local and international artists to provide enough bohemean atmosphere. So nevertheless the kings support has given birth to a pleasent artsy district.
Go at 4pm and hungry. Take a look at the galleries first, and take the elevator to Cielo Sky Bar latest at 5.30pm. Afford yourself a sunset drink and move back down to have a wonderful dinner at the food stalls.
