It was a nice walk around the market and we got the chance to see some unique asian flowers. Highly recommended for a change after visiting temples.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 January 2024

I bought a beautiful single lotus 🪷 that lasted our stay. You walk through a huge maze of flowers. It’s so pretty!Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 January 2024
- SavannahCarmichael, California50 contributionsFlower Lovers Paradise for sure!I am obsessed with flowers, and went here just to see a giant flower market. I was NOT disappointed at all with my visit. I bought huge bunches of orchid flower stems for $5 and I spread them all over my hotel room while I spent a week in Bangkok. Lotus flowers also! I'm sure the hotel staff were laughing at how much I had in there, but I couldn't resist. If you are a flower lover, definitely stop in here and get yourself several bouquets for yourself. The rows are endless with all of the different flowers here, and there is a small food market at the far back as well.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 1 June 2024
- Adventure102916662183 contributionsPak Khlong TalatPak Khlong Talat is a popular place for people of all genders and ages. It is a place where many types of flowers, both retail and wholesale, are available for sale, such as roses, carnations, gerbera flowers, sunflowers, hydrangeas, tulips, etc., at very cheap prices. And there is a popular place at the mouth of the canal called "Saphan Phut", a popular photography spot along the Chao Phraya River. The photos came out very well. Convenient transportation, you can take the MRT at Exit 4 or bus number 12, and there are many coffee shops, restaurants, and places to eat. Suitable for people who want to create content or take photos. Let's come a lot.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 12 July 2024

It was 5 pm when we arrived at this huge covered market: skilled workers were stringing buds, making wreath and flower arrangements for temples.
There's an amazing variety of flowers, orchids, chrysanthemums and above all the fabulous lotuses!
They were being packed delicately but at speed in large lotus leaves, then into huge, deep baskets to be flown to Singapore and other parts of the world.
The hard work and sheer skill of these men and women left us amazed.
We also wandered in adjacent streets and discovered wholesale vegetables, salads and greens.
It's a feast for the eye, a beautiful opportunity to take photographs and above all,to see the real active Bangkok.
Don't miss this, and go back to your hotel with a fresh bunch of fabulous flowers!

Very underwhelmed after reading such good reviews. If anything, I left here feeling very sorry for the hard working people having camera lenses shoved in their face by tourists with no interest in buying their goods. It isn’t designed to have lots of people walking up and down, and locals were fed up as the tourism is likely putting off paying customers.
I have only given it 2 stars as I would feel bad for the stall owners putting 1.

Flower market which also has lots of stalls selling fruit and vegetables. Prices are good and people are friendly if you have money.

We visited the market along with our guide. The market is very big with many similar stalls and one can get easily lost. As expected a lot of flowers & flower arts. The market also has some vegetable & food stalls nearby.

It is located just a short walk from Sanam Chai MTR station. Marigold and jasmine flowers for offerings are packed in plastic bags. They can be connected to make a ring or arranged. Flowers, flowers, flowers on both sides. A bouquet of about 50 roses costs 60 baht (240 yen), which is unbelievably cheap. Sunflowers, carnations, gerberas, lotus flowers...I bought them thinking that I could make a rose bath if I wasn't moving the next day. I recommend it for flower lovers.

The world of flowers.Gives you a first hand experience of a local market. I am told it is one of the biggest flower markets in Asia. Busy throughout the day.Be careful to let people pass as everyone is so busy. Small walking spaces in between hundreds of flower shops and activities everywhere. Some local eateries also serve the workers. A wonderful smell wafts the air of different types of flowers.

This is not a tourist attraction. This is real working flower market. Beautiful flowers, other items for sale but predominately flowers. Watch them make the flower offerings and funeral offerings. It is crowded. Be mindful of the scooters that use the aisles just like the pedestrians. Authentic and genuine and chaotic experience.

Bustling local flower and fruit market. Predominantly for temple/shrines. It's great to see a slice of local life and everyone is so friendly. Some bargains to be had too and don't forget to negotiate. When finished can get the bus or the boat

Hello,
I am getting married in Phuket and have a family member going to Bangkok, who has offered to get flowers and greenery for me before the wedding as my wedding planner is charging a bomb for flowers.
Is it possible to get in touch with a vendor to ore order what I need?
Any additional advise would be much appreciate.
Kind regards
Aleisha

There are several vendors at the market and they all want to sell. I bought flowers on my visit and it is very affordable. However, I don’t know if they can assist you in transporting them to Phuket.

They open pretty early. 5 AM. If you can get there early before the afternoon, before the tourists and the crowds comes.

They say that the best time is at about 4 or 5 a.m. We've only been during the afternoon and early evening and there's always been plenty of flowers to see in the many stalls selling them. Personally, I think that there's an advantage to going at a quieter time - you have more direct access to see the flowers without many people rushing around you making deliveries or trying to make their sales/purchases.
