Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The taxi driver couldn’t believe we wanted to visit in the afternoon as it seems Khaosan Road really comes to life in the evening. With three kids in tow - 19, 17 and 12 - we decided daytime was best. Not a lot was open - scorpions on a stick, an excellent fresh juice bar on the street (all sorts of fruit combinations blended with ice for 50 THB - £1.25), and lots of massage shops. All 5 of us had a massage in the same shop and got 10% off as a family discount. It was all above board and age appropriate- 2 half hour foot massages and 3 half hour Thai massages for 150 THB each. The longer you go for, the prices go down so, for example, a one hour foot massage is 250 THB. It’s quite public - you are having your feet massaged alongside a bank of others doing the same thing but, oh, it’s good after a day of walking around Bangkok. This is cheaper than Khao Lak where 30 minutes isn’t even on offer and one hour is 300 THB.

Don’t ignore the surrounding streets. We walked through neighbouring streets to get back to the river to pick up the tourist boat all the way back to Sathorn Pier (day time only) and passed through really nice shops etc.

I didn’t like some of the signs on Khaosan Road, but that’s because I’m an over-protective parent. Things like “Come in and we promise you won’t remember your holiday “ and “Four things to do on Khaosan Road: blah blah, have a tattoo, blah blah”.

Glad we left before dark when I think the character would have changed.

Kind of a dump. Thai people refer to area as a expat Ghetto. Most Thai locals will not go there. Same area that has $3 rooms for rent

Khaosan road is kind of bar street same as others somewhere in the world but this better than others. I really enjoyed a lot bcos you don't need pay much or book any table random bar . There are many convenience store on the street and you can buy your beer and walk on the street and stop in front of any bar and join the rhythm of ambiance.even towards midnight, all the places are full and everyone continues to have fun on the street. The street full of bars and boutique stores, massages chairs and saloons. And you can see who sell cooked insects. This street have different soul .

Just a short stay because for me I found it very noisy and loud .. too many teenagers. Half hour was enough. The price was fair. Many options for who likes night life

Went to Khaosan Road during the Songkran and it's bustling with people. Now that the Thai government has opened up the tourism more, the people should be back in no time.

It's sad that a ton of shops have closed, but I don't think it's fair to give it a review when barely any tourists are allowed in the country.
