Most touristic place, with bunch of youngsters who's main aim is to drink buckets, buy souvenirs , or dine

The only thing that i can say is everybody should have the experience at least once specially at night! Different restaurants, different foods, and the real Thai culture you can see in this street.

It's ok to see it once or twice. But mostly for youngsters , whom never drank alchohol at all( at least it look like it) I'm not a fan of buckets and mainstream music. So just crowded strewn with overpriced clothing, food is ok, but not amazing.

The street is famous for backpackers and partying. But it's not really a good solo place (better with friends who like to party). The street has a tom if outdoor vendors and souvenir shops, there are a few goid places to eat or relax during the day time. Heavy traffic and lots of people make it a bit too much... More

If you don't mind crowds and more crowds and love street markets, then you will be in heaven here. There is everything under the sun to buy. You get to see markets at its best.

We headed to the night market for our last night in Thailand, picked up a few last minute bargains plus a few extras 😉and ate a scorpion. Started getting pretty loud from the bars, so took the kids and headed of at 10:00 We walked the street getting a feel for prices then doubled back and started bartering, most prices... More

So we've stopped through Bangkok a few times as a layover throughout our travels in Thailand. During this last trip we finally decided to check out the infamous khao San road during the day. It's a rather small street with neighboring streets all selling the same goods from stall to stall. Great for cheap clothes, bathing suits, glasses and overall... More

Not much besides cheap hotels and economical travel agencies. Very few street vendors, selling mostly souvinors.

A place full of life, full of bars, shops, food and fruit stalls, and vendors, music, massage, a party not to be missed. The best exchange rate in Thailand

If you visit Bangkok you should visit this place, a night life of Bangkok. Most people are called this place with the backpacker area, Why? Because there's so many people from a different country and so many pub in here. You can also try a bizzare food as well.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
