The place becomes very busy after dark, stalls are quickly popping up alongside the Nana BTS green line and it stops in the Arabic district nearby. Strolling around is safe and people are working hard to sell their goods. You can buy almost every conceivable cheap tourist item (hats, sandals, T-shirts, watches, sunglasses, bags ...) including stuff like male energy... More

At around 7 a night, the street stalls appear. The more you look, the more things you will see. Prepare to garden, with a smile on your face. A few vendors are deaf, but a little bit of bargaining can be fun but don't push too hard. They are nice people. The Government are thinking of closing them down. I... More

I visited Bangkok early October and the market is cleaned up. In the middle there is some kind of control post which I assume is there to make sure nobody set-up shop in the night.

On Sukhumvit road between Asoke and Nana you find the Sukhumvit Street Night Market. It's starting to get serious after 7 p.m. every night. It's crowdy, busy and attracts a lot fo different people. Here you find clothes, electric items, dvds, watches and toys and much more.Be prepare to bargain, it's a must here.

Bangkok streets are flooded with different street food malls, big or small. Usually they are very popular both among Thais and foreigners. Food is cheap and delicious. To get authentic Thai flavours, they are just the best place. Those who work there speak little English but menus do have some English. From the display also one can just show them... More

Even the boots and kiosks are blocking the sidewalk along the Sukhumvit Road (between Soi 3 and Soi 19) but this market has still a special flair. You can buy everything here, just don't forget to bargain. 100 or 200% over priced is just normal here. Don't expect to find branded Articles to be sold beside the road. Brand name... More

We tried some chicken kebabs which were cooked over charcoal and were delicious. They had a tasty marinade and consisted of bits of chicken barbecued with peppers, a cherry tomato and a chunk of pineapple. I also had a baked potato with butter, everything was 25 bht each which is 56p at today's exchange rate of 44 bht to the... More
