Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a rather limited collection of contemporary Thai art. The 2nd floor had some interesting pieces and the third floor were just amateurish art pieces for sale. The top floor was closed.

There’s an exhibition now January 2020 that covers a wide range of genres, mediums and scale. Pretty impressive curation too. A nice quiet space to wander around in. I am not huge fan of larger museum type gallery spaces but this is wonderful.

We had visited this art gallery located across the street from Wat Ratchanatdaram(Loha Prasat) during our vacation in Bangkok. Entrance tickets are priced at 50 baht per person. The gallery has 4 floors and many beautiful paintings. There is a beautiful painting of the queen in the ground floor of the gallery. We had a very good time checking out the paintings and clicking pictures.

This is a small gallery with the art mostly relating to Thai culture or Buddha. Three floors. Very few people present but the art is quite interesting to see. You can’t go wrong with a small admission fee of 50 baht.

A collection of gowns worn by the queen and many photos of her reign. Close to several attractions and well worth an hour visit with free admission.

Been here for the university exhibition and it was inspiring.
The gallery is huge!
If you don’t have a lot of time in Bangkok you can maybe skip it if there isn’t an exhibition you’re interested in as they all change!

Interesting exhibits, just don't expect to see any that are mentioned in the reviews since they change regularly. But they are all interesting and worth a visit anyway, so don't miss it. Good for families (not with very young kids), teens, seniors, etc.
Why only 4 stars? The cafe is closed and one elevator was out of commission.

Entrance is 50 baht, which is pretty hard to go wrong with. Exhibits are regularly changed. Current exhibit is entirely paintings of Princess Chulabhorn, mostly of tigers, leopards, and butterflies. The fourth floor has some wonderful interactive exhibits. Worth an hour or so of time.

The Queen’s Gallery consists of 5 floors holding mostly special exhibits. There are quite a few royal portraits of all kinds. The special exhibits included a variety of styles from traditional painting to abstract art. My only criticism would be that they need to redo the lighting and add some English explanation so that more tourists would enjoy the works. The museum was very empty when I was there but I found the art to be well done and interesting.

From the exterior, the gallery looks unimpressive. However, the interior is nicely laid out with plenty of open space and an impressive atrium of sorts. There are three main levels featuring contemporary art by local Thai artists. Some of the art is political, some addresses social issues and some makes light of local culture. An entire floor is dedicated to art (primarily portraits) of the Royal Family - this seems to be a major theme found in many museums in Bangkok and can be overwhelming if not repetitive at times. Entrance fee is 50bhat. I spent about and hour and a quarter here - enjoyed the a/c on a warm afternoon.
