I can only give the Bangkok Shell Museum an average rating. The shells are very pretty, but the displays are in need of cleaning desperately.

The Bangkok Seashell museum is located in the Silom area of Bangkok. It is a small museum with three floors. The entrance fee is 150 Bahts (equivalent to just over GBP 3 - May 2017). I did not think that the entrance fee was worth...More

My daughter loves shells. So we popped into this museum. This would be fun only if you are a very big shell fanatic or connoisseur. Otherwise, it's very bland and quite boring. Lots of trays of shells. A lot of them similar to each other....More

If you are a fan of seashells, or nature in general, this museum will be worth the 150 baht entry fee. No doubt it is a small museum, but the variety of shells displayed is substantial. Shell exhibits are collected from all over the world....More

Rather centrally located, but from the outside looking very small and almost disappointing. The seashell collection itself is still not too big, but amazes with variety and beauty of the items. I did not regret going there and it is a pity that seashells are...More

Small but nicely detailed museum. Excellent signage in English as well as Thai. Includes a movie the attendant can start for you. The attendant the day we went spoke fluent English. If you love picking up shells at the shore or marveling at the intricacies...More

Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions,
this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many.
Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi
Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the
plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a
night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's
worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers
on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop

The opening hours of the Bangkok seashell museum are 10am to 6pm. I visited during the week - so do not know if the museum is open during the weekend.
