Very cheap option to get to the city. At Makassan station (junction with Phetchaburi) there are yellow locker rooms, so before leaving Bangkok, it might be a good option to store your luggage there before you head to the airport.

Links up with BTS skytrain. Good way to get to other areas of city as taxis take ages depending on traffic jams and time of day. Not so good if you have lots of luggage though.

Cost about 25 to 45 baht per journey. Downside: unlike train systems in other countries, when you switch from BTS to Airport Rail Link, you have to purchase a separate ticket.

it is covered/sheltered and the BTS will be crowded at 6pm. It is doable but as mentioned above, quite a bit of a walk.
