Top ways to experience King Power Mahanakhon
The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.

    HIGHTLY RECOMMENDING
This is a gorgeous building. I booked tickets in online it was easy. The elevator is quick and provides a cool show as every wall is a screen. I go directly to the skywalk though. when you go you need to leave your shoes and bag. It look like you are standing in air. It is a lot of fun and excitement tio the experience. It will be crowded on the rooftop. I would like to highly recommend this experience to anyone. The rooftop is amazing views of the city of BKK and i enjoyed it . If you have planing to visit Bangkok in Your future, i will be recommending it to go with friends or whosever.

    Good view, overall nice experience
This is one of the more recent attractions in Bangkok. It is the tallest view point of Bangkok. The best part of Mahanakhon is that unlike KL Tower there is no time limit. You can spend as much time as you want enjoying the views of the Bangkok city from the top. The roof top is open so the photos work out better without the glass obstruction. There is a glass bottom walk for an added attraction.

Best views of the whole city
This is the tallest skyscraper in Bangkok and ultra modern. Fast elevators whisk you up 84 floors to the open roof top terrace. For those brave enough there is a glass floor that you can walk out onto and look 130 meters down. Otherwise you can order a drink from the bar and sit and chill whilst taking in the 360 view of the city. Great fun and well worth the price of admission

    Fantastic views and worthwhile experience.
Worthwhile experience, be ready for sweaty palms walking on the see through floor hanging on the side of the building. No cameras allowed on the see through floor but you can get someone to lean over and take a photo of you on it. The best time to go is night time, you can see the whole of Bangkok lit up, spectacular view. The vibe on the top floor is brilliant, they have a bar there as well so you can spend a bit of time getting up the courage to walk out onto the floor or have a couple of drinks to just enjoy the view.

    Well worth a visit
The Mahanakhon Tower was near my hotel, so thought I would try it out on my short trip to Bangkok. I booked online for an afternoon slot. From entering the tower to arriving at the viewing platform was very well organised and a pleasant experience. From the top of the tower, you get spectacular views across Bangkok. Not for the faint-hearted but the skywalk is fun. I stopped and enjoyed a beer at the top as the sun was beginning to set.

Well worth it (even with young children)
During my previous visits to Bangkok this magnificent building was under construction, with the opening delayed. Then COVID-19 came, So when we came back to Bangkok this year we finally got the chance to go up and see it! The process of getting into the building is Thai logic at its best. Tickets get checked many times, with staff sending you around the place. Giving conflicting instructions. One guy looked like he just start Jed his shift, with his personal bag still on his shoulders, but he was giving us instructions only to receive conflicting instructions from another member of staff. Again asking for your ticket. You’d think checking once would be enough, rather than about five times. Also, there are no bags and strollers allowed. So keep this in mind while travelling with small children. Staff do offer paper bags to put essentials such as diapers in. Lockers were full (after we were sent back and forth by staff). In the end we were issued a ticket and our prams and bag were ushered to the back in a cart. So again not quite sure what the process here is. From the moment you step in the elevator the show is on. The view from the top is stunning. Dwarfing the Lebua State tower. Walking the glass floor is very cool not for the faint hearted. Also, this can get very busy. And unfortunately, with people having a har drone following the simple rules of not taking stuff and pictures on the glass floor. We were there during the sunset, which was amazing. But do expect long queues on the lifts down. Another thing that amazed me was that, despite the steep entrance price and price of drinks at the bar, the picture booklet was only 200 baht! This is definitely a must do attraction when you’re in Bangkok.

    Highlight in Bangkok

    Amazing Views!
Amazing views and atmosphere! We arrived at the building at 10am, purchased tickets (880 THB pp) and went straight up to the 74th floor (the observatory) then the 78th floor to walk along the skywalk/glass floor which was exhilarating! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to come back to see the views at sunset/night.

Expensive attraction with nice 360 degree city view
This is nice place to visit. but little expensive. We paid 1,190 baht with meal coupon of 200 baht. In fact this not required. we selected sunset time that is also not required you just choose daytime and then you can stay until sunset. Daytime cost is around 880 baht only Food you can take outside or in the first floor of mahanokhon food court

    Stunning Sunset Views
This is the highest building of Thailand and offers panaromic views of the Bangkok city. I would recommend visiting it during sunset time as the place becomes so lovely with the DJ music and the beautiful views. It cost me roughly 1100 TBH for the sunset ticket. Daytime ticket is somewhat cheaper. This place must not be missed during your trip to Bangkok. They also have Virtual Simulation Game at the bottom but I would recommend skipping it as it is not worth the price. There is a bar and sitting area at the top plus there is an indoor viewing area.

Paid £21 for a ticket through Klook.com, wasn’t disappointed , very modern efficient clean and tidy. You need to take your passport with you though. The view is fantastic and unlike many so called platforms you are actually on the top of the building and there is a glass walkway to take pictures but you can’t take a camera or phone on this for safety reasons I guess. Very close to the MRT as well. On the way out you go through a couple of floors of King power shopping as well.

High recommend if you does not afraid of heights , you can buy ticket on site or via platform like klook.

Purchase from Klook platform just show the QR code from your email to the staff . Staff will get you to queue up to the counter.

Do check with the staff the weather before check in to level 74 for the roof top at level 78 if there is bad weather just wait or do a refund.

My friends and I showed up and almost bought a ticket to head straight to the skywalk. However, we were waiting on one more person, so we decided to head up to the bar and decide what to do about the skywalk later (we didn't like the price.)
The ride up is pretty cool because the elevator is interactive!
Upon being seated, the waitress let us know if we spent a certain amount, it would give us free entry to the skywalk. When we did the math, it was the same amount as a ticket - so, instead, we ate and drank our fill and then went to the rooftop - much better deal!

We had lunch in the building and then we got entrance to this skywalk, we could either take the stairs or take the elevator. The view is great - 360 degrees - and Bangkok has so many really fantastic buildings to look at, also the river, look down on the British Club etc. so we really enjoyed our time there! One can have a drink and snacks, but the prices are rather high.

This is a gorgeous building; I am in awe of the design. But it is SO CROWDED to get to the top! Lines to buy tickets, lines to get on the elevator, lines to walk up the final stairs, lines to go on the glass tray, and then a long line to get back down.

There are many rooftop bars and restaurants in BKK, and in my opinion it is not worth the time and money to watch a sunset from this spot.

Nice way to spend a few hours around sunset on the first day of our trip to Bangkok, very well organised and didn’t feel crowded when we were there, despite the peak time. We booked direct and did t feel rushed at all.
You should get some cracking views, especially on a clear day.
Drinks expensive but to be expected.

We have seen so many of the King Power stores all over Bangkok and even many in the airports. They all offer much of the same items and clothing as well. For us it is just another duplication of Outlet Mall stores offering many duplicated brand name items that are very expensive.
