Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I bought whisky at departure in Suvarnibhumi airport. The cashier claim she had difficulty charging my credit card .. she did it numerous and also different machine.
I ended up with 2 charges for 1 item. Good job I immediately check the charges and report to Visa.
Not sure is a genuine mistake or intention to cheat.
Just check and confirm charges after purchase from the Duty Free shop

Stayed at Ibis for a 5n6d over my birthday. Hotel staff there are friendly and accomodating ( Pond, Kaimook and Ninu) upon my check in, and to mention a delightful surprise was reaching my room one night I found a slice of birthday cake left for me. It could be an observation from the check in staff that pay attention to details like this which I didn't expect.
Secondly the hotel location was very good. Mbk and bts station was very near and lots of shopping centres and food nearby. Hotel room was pretty small for twinsharing but room was clean. TV was not working though. Basic amenities provided and a 7-11 store downstairs in lobby is a great plus point of this hotel. Definitely recommend this hotel and will return again.

Hello!
To all those ppl traveling to Pattaya via bangkok and wish to travel cheap then i must recommend that once u land in bangkok then first thing u cn do is go to the second floor of the airport and buy a local sim card with internet. There are 2 types of offers available 1- for 8 days and 2- for one month and the charges are 300 baht. After this you go to the ground floor to gate number 8 there u will get the bus ticket to go to Pattaya and the charges for the bus one way is 130 baht. Before taking the bus, please check whr will the bus drop you and whr is your hotel located. Please tell the driver he will guide you whr to get down or since u hav bought a local sim you can see it for yourself. The bus takes about 2 hours to reach Pattaya and the last bus if im not wrong is at 18:00 hours. So plan your flight accordingly.

Hope this helps. Enjoy!

In my humble opinion, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is well designed. The airport is star-like shape. If you transit or lost at the airport, just go to the center where information desk and airlines check-in located, that's all.

There are big sofas in some places of the airport. You can have a free nap if you are tired. Thumbs up!

Duty free shopping in the airport is strange. I had to submit my passport (ok) AND boarding pass (why?) for duty free buys.

I've got bad experience of two women staffs of King Power (in airport's third floor) while buying some toys for my children. I feel I were their staff, not a customer, when talking and buying toys from the shop. I think King Power should improve their staff's atitude.

We were a couple with 2 large bags traveling from the riverside area of Bangkok & id read that I should avoid allowing the hotel to sort me a taxi to get us to the airport. My husband was very dubious of this, especially when I made him walk through the hotel reception, past the cars & taxis parked outside the hotel and along the driveway & out onto the main road......with our suitcases.
I flagged down the first green & yellow cab I saw with no problems. I asked if his cab was metered & when he said yes, asked him to take us to Suvarnabhumi Airport. I was very curious to see what the fare would be. Our metered taxi from the airport in bad traffic cost us 400 baht and the cheapest I could get a transfer for online was $27 one way.
The traffic was quite bad, but in the end we paid 406baht, which included 75 for the toll roads. This tip saved us a few quid and at that price it wouldn't even have been worth our while taking the train, as that would have set us back 380baht for 2 for the trouble of lugging our cases through 3 stations.
I'd recommend getting a metered cab to the airport. You will save a small fortune.

We got this on our recent trip to Suvarnabhumi airport, there are clear signs in the airport as to where the buses pick up. It is 60 BHT for one person, paid in cash to the driver who will drop you either at Khao San or somewhere near to there. We showed the driver our hotel address who dropped us maybe 5 mins from the hotel. Excellent service, runs every 30 mins. To return to the airport, bus picks up at the same bus stop (near the 7/11) and runs every 30 mins. Bus takes 1 hour approximately. Would definitely recommend, efficient, great experience and good to meet other people!

This was an amazing easy and free bus service offered between Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports. We caught the bus both ways and it was efficient and well run. We took the bus from Suvarnabhumi airport at around 1pm- the bus waits on the 2nd floor between gates 2 and 3. You visit the desk, giving them your proof of flight from Don Mueang and they will stamp your hand. You board the bus (they leave every 20 minutes or so) and it takes an hour (dependent on traffic) to arrive. Coming from Don Mueang the desk is outside the International Terminal 1 on the 1st floor by gate 6. (Even though we had the info, we asked airport information to double check, and both times they gave us the same and clear instructions on how to reach the desk). The bus drops you at departures- easy :) Great that a free and efficient service like this exists.

We have been using AOT Limousines for the past 10 years or so for our transfers to & from Suvarnabhumi Airport and have found the service to be Reliable, Safe and Convenient.
They have always turned up , in fact most times they are there a few minutes before time and although the drivers may not speak much English , they know what they are doing !!
Safe for single , lone travellers as it is accountable .
Price is ok - a bit cheaper would be better !!

Stumbled upon Rideways airport taxi whilst booking my recent trip to Phuket.
I guess I would call it a happy accident. I paid in advance so was able to confirm pick up times and drop off location, well in advance. Price was very reasonable. They track your flight, so nobody is waiting around for ages. They email you clear instructions on where to go once you leave the, and a rep will be holding up a board with your name once your at the meeting point.
The drive was very comfortable and the driver was very friendly. My return journey was booked for 4am and was a little concerned that they might be late. No need, they where there dead on 4am.
Great service, great experience, will definitely be using them from no on.
