Interesting ride.

Definitely worth visiting. Offers very nice views of the city skyline as well as natural things. A little bit far from city center though, so you can see city from quite far.

Pls skip this place.. too commercialize once you are up on the maokong summit.. nothing spectacle especially if you have visited hualien scenery at Taroko and beaches and cliffs. My teenage son and myself fell asleep during the ride...

We got there via the metro, and it was a few mins walk from the metro station. You can pay for the gondola ride using the metro card (100NT instead of the usual 120NT one-way to the top). On the way up, there was a fairly long line for the crystal floor cabins, so we took the normal ones. Great... More

We bought our return ticket at the ticket booth. It was a 45-minute ride to Maokong. Unfortunately, the daytime was smoggy and rainy, but we saw a beautiful view on the return ride in the late afternoon. You can get a clear view of Taipei 101 on the gondola. Bring your mosquito repellent if you go to Maokong.

Catch the brown line to he Zoo station, then a short walk to the cable car.Your Easy card can be used for the train and cable car. The Crystal Cabins with the glass floor are every 7th cable car,and are great. The line for them was huge on the way to the top,so we caught one back,no line. At the end... More

I totally recommend doing this if you're in Taipei for a few days, but I personally like the gondolas in Hong Kong better. Choose one with glas floor and just enjoy the ride.

We always come here for every visit to Taipei. The price has increased for foreigners but still value for money. Do quite up for the crystal cabin for more interesting experience. The ride is 29min and there's a discount if you hv visited the zoo prior taking the gondola, but must pay both via your metro card.

It was a long journey to the top with limited reward. We lucked out on timing and didn't have to wait for a "Crystal Car" - the glass-bottomed gondolas. We thought the price was a little high for an adventure without any guide or details. When we left, the line seemed to be about 45 minutes long of waiting. Our... More

Can see Taipei 101 from the car. One of the longest ride of cable car. However, nothing much activity on top of the hill. Enjoy a tea with scenic of Taipei. A relax trip with no shopping.
