We did the glass bottom gondola and didn't have to wait too long. The views were awesome and we had a great time doing it. We didn't do much at the top, simply bought some water and got back in line to go down

I was there around 4. By the time we reach half of our journey. The entire place was dark, nothing much to see. The driver for the shuttle bus was even worse as he drove very fast and brake furiously when there is corner turning....More

We were interested in visiting some of the tea houses in Maokong so we took the gondola up to the top. It offers lovely views of the surrounding countryside as well as the city of Taipei (and Taipei 101). The line for the crystal carriage...More

I just love this place. I'm not big on rollercoasters, and definitely never doing the Zipper again in my lifetime (look it up, my head and stomach still spin). But I do love the views overlooking the bucolic hills, and then the backdrop of Taipei...More

This was a good way to see the city. Get the multi stop pass and explore. Once at the top taste some tea.

This is a great excursion which takes you out of the city and up into the mountains for a stroll around the tea houses and plantations. The air is cooler and there is a fantastic view of greater Taipei

We took the subway there which was very easy as you just take the Maokong stop. I would recommend buy a ticket to the top and then a ticket going down to the zoo. It's about a half our ride up and you can either...More

When we first heard Gondola, at 18Degrees Celius and drizzling, we were very concerned. Thankfully their gondola is actually sky tram. The Maokong Gondola is a system of "circulatory cable cars" circulating around the stations, like the conveyor belt in a Sushi Express Shop. Each...More

Hi, you can get to Maokong via the Taipei Zoo Metro station. It’s around a 10-min walk from the Metro station to the Taipei Zoo station of the gondola. From the base station to Maokong station it’s around 20 mins.
