This was an intere4sting temple and probably the best visited. Apart from the central temple there were numerous rooms around the perimeter all decorated differently and clearky used for worship and well as some for storage and vending. Worth a visit.

Having an architect for a daughter, we had to visit well-known UNESCO heritage sites. This temple was one of those and we could see why. The temple had intricate columns, colorful ceilings, beautiful walls and doors. The amount of work put in its construction was really impressive.

A beautifully decorated temple that has within its compound, quite a significant number of shrines. If devotees are required to go to them all, it would take some time. It is clearly however, very popular with the locals. Scenically, it is very impressive, and very much well worth a visit.

This temple is always very busy in the evening for business people. The deity that is venerated at this temple is one of the main ones for business people. The priestesses that reside here give free blessings to people. This is a very friendly place. Read about the temples patron deity before going in so you can appreciate the temple... More

As a frequest temple goer, i think this is the best in town. the art and drawings, curver and the woods are abosulutely amazing. this temple is not too crowded, you can find real peace in this area. confucious's temple is also nearby, and the wall written with 萬仞宮牆 is really cool. by the way there are many tasty street... Beautifully ornate and quiet. This temple is way less popular than Longshan temple and therefore you can really appreciate the serenity of the place and take time to soak in all of the detail of the architecture. And added plus is your photos will be of the temple itself versus a photo of other people taking photos. Visit both temples... More

Unlike other Buddhist Temples, this temple worships an ancient scholar Tao Wu in the North Song Dynasty era (960-1127 AD) who devoted his life for saving people through medicine. Local people now come pray in front of his statue for health. The temple is also a place to pay tribune to the an ancient legend Shen Neng (before 2070 BC)... More

You can combine this temple with the Confucius Temple since they are opposite each other. Forget the hyped up Longshan Temple and head here for a more serene and quiet temple experience along with beautiful architecture and decorations.
