Lots of tea restaurants. Watch out for thunderstorms. Gondola operations are suspended during thunderstorms.

There are little street stalls but it is a nice get away from the bustling city of Taipei, while taking the metro, you can have a nice view of the rural area of the city

We really enjoyed our trip on Cable Car - all 4 point something Kilometers of it. We chose the glass-bottomed Gondola, which was a good choice. Queue was long, but moved quickly. Apparently you can avoid the queues by pre-purchasing on-line. The glass-bottomed Gondola is...More

Btw, we had the hotspring bath in Beitou.. In the room, there were complimentary tea, coffee and water available. Another round of complimentary tea and dessert was served on another floor at the end of the session.
On looking further, this question seems to be posted on the wrong area. The heading should be 'Maokong Gondola'. where all the answers can be found. Seems a waste of resources!
